Ovh just delivered my FreeBSD Kimsufi 4G, which was supposed to get cancelled due to limit of 3 Ks servers of which only first orders get through. But weird they delivered it!
But it's not N2800
I might cancel this after 3 months.
Passmark for D2500 - 409
Passmark for N2800 - 625
Slight difference - 34.56%
D2500 is similar to N2800, but without the hyperthreading.

2 cores, 2 threads
@xset exactly, and N2800 is 2 cores, 4 threads. So the difference is that the D2500 has the hyperthreading removed/disabled.
When did you order?
Useful comparison:

@sc754 25th 21:45 CET ... but I ordered ks2g 20:31 CET and still haven't got one
Urgh, still no 2G or 16G. Why can they not commission in order?
OVH has said they do installations in "waves" and not in a large batches
Get a nice N2800 Atom from FitVPS
We can use it to learn SolusVM / Openvz Web Panel.
Fair enough, I guess my main thoughts are how they can have hundreds if not thousands of orders pending and still show stock on the .co.uk site...
@wych that is not real time, and I wouldn't really trust the stock calculator
@wych They have orders in progress (payment verification done) and in pending manual inspection (new orders, since Saturday) for payment.
Oh, pwn'd haha! I assumed as the numbers had changed every few visits they were up-to-date...
I ordered on Friday and had verification, just nothing since then, payment was taken in seconds and confirmed in a few hours.
@wych do you see your order in the billing panel - orders in progress? if yes, then your order is just waiting for stock/setup
Mimimimi..
@wych @vedran @villageidiot just called OVH again... the message "pending manual inspection/payment verification" may not mean much...
According to them the setup time starts after payment, not after the order has been "manually inspected".
Customer can cancel or ask for refund after 7 days of payment if machine has not been delivered.. This is in the contract.
@itgods ?
@xset Sorry, but this whining sucks.
And there were about 6000 KS2G orders waiting for stock.. so I guess rest 4000+ are mini-sps, ks16gs, ks4gs...
They said they planned 30k servers/month.
And they had 10k orders in 7 days..... so i should have mine in two weeks?
Oles (@olesovhcom) tweeted at 11:32 PM on Wed, Jul 31, 2013:
Ovh Nous avons prévu de gérer la livraison de 30k serveurs / mois. Si on enlève le pic du démarrage nous sommes dans nos estimations.
@itgods they have delivered ks2gs/ks4gs today... shows that they are progressing.
I actually found xset's posts usefull, don't see it as whining.
@bob_v2 depends which server you ordered? they say 10 days max. oles has said 5000 orders this week, next 15 days another 5000... so 1-2 weeks is realistic.
I don't care. I can wait but others not. They cry and cry.. :P
Realistically speaking 6000 servers is not that much when the DC is supposed to have space for 350,000 servers.. Shows that the amount of orders for KS2G has decreased since there have been 5000 orders for KS2G since last Monday already.. so they only have 1000+ new orders for KS2Gs from EU, in the peak time 1000+ servers were ordered in a hour.
This.
From Thurs or Friday?
Will check when back in office.
May cancel then, If the 16G is going to be a while I will already have moved things to other nodes.
@wych First KS16Gs ordered 25th were delivered 2 days ago. Another set of KS2Gs/KS4Gs were installed today. 16Gs and mini-sps take as long as 10 days from the order date.
What's also funny is that according to new server agreement Kimsufi (outside HW) support is at the Forums, but they have disabled all new forum logins! How can you get support then:)
