    Didn't you get one?

Nope, received the same cancellation that others have posted, just asked for a refund as I already have 2 N2800's in France.

RBX5 but they approved me via FR site..

No jealously then, I'm happy with my super cheapies in Gravelines.

RBX works out at £6 more per quarter

This is why I love Gravelines, so damn cheap it's probably illegal.

  • Well got my 4.99 EUR server in France. Did a server bear benchmark as I always do for all my new servers.

    http://serverbear.com/benchmark/2014/05/07/3MDwebTpmwoI8MXZ

The Spin Up Time for the HDD was at roughly 7000 hours.

All in all can't be too disappointed with it. Will probably perform better than some VPS's I have and for 4.99 EUR a month for unmetered, you really can't go too wrong.

I'm still waiting for them to remove VAT

  • iceTwyiceTwy Member

Agh, I couldn't resist ordering one. I paid 18€ for the setup fee & 1 month - that's a bit expensive, but I wanted it so damn bad.

Hmmm, installed Centos 6 got disk write speed of 89mb/s

installed Debian 7.5 and got 120mb/s...

Different drivers/partition sizes so it wrote to the outer of the disk not inner?

  • I added my server yesterday and created my account. I got asked for ID + proof of residence, both of which I sent off for verification. It's been almost 24 hours and i've heard nothing? Anyone else having a slow response like this?

Your ordered the Canadian DC or the French one?

  • For some reason it forced me to order from the French site (UK here) but I got the KS-3 within 2 minutes. Brilliant.

  • ndelaespadandelaespada Member, Host Rep

You can no longer order Canada, they removed that option so he most likely means France.

How come the network speeds are that slow? @Jack @Trav

EDIT: I just figured out the uplink was 100Mb/s, not 100MB/s. My mistake.

  • Is managing one of these exactly the same as managing a VPS? You can reboot, rebuild, etc.. at any time? Is the control panel the same as the OVH VPS panel?

  • It's a different panel but it allows you to rebuild/netboot/restart and so on as well.
