I got one of these since last august. Works great. OVH network is excellent (http://weathermap.ovh.net/), with multi gigabit DDOS protection included for free and at a leb price you get a real dedi where you can rape cpu and io 24/7. Plus it has the best control panel in the market with many feature included serious monitoring.

I wonder what kind of i5 cpu that is

  • skyhostskyhost Member

what command you use to get the server details and the download speed @iKeyz?

Your kidding right? The CP has so many bugs and glitches.

you need to create account on the kimsufi forum and post your invoice number in the public thread. This is the only way to remove vat.

    Which thread would that be?

    Setup fee 9.99 -_-

Is it not possible to install Windows on these then? I wanted to get one and have a go.

The only Windows OS they have got on the Kimsufi line (at least the cheap Atom I have) is the Windows Hyper-V 2008 R2, which I don't think you can create Windows VM since the Atoms don't support those Intel-VT technology.

If you want to have Virtual VM I think you will need the i3 at least, which is pretty cheap as well.

I emailed support at [email protected] and they removed VAT in about 3 days

edit: it seems installation templates not in action

I don't know if they are actually meant to be used. It would be great if those ones could work. I really want a remote Windows PC as a desktop and start to use my own machine just like a thin client.

    This one might help?

Primarily disk space issue. To be honest the disk space they have is soooooo tiny compare to what OVH gives (and for personal uses I don't really need a RAID or anything fancy)

And by the way...that's quite a few affiliated links with Winity.io...

I think it happens every time people opens an account with them, however OVH is a pretty big company and I doubt they will really do anything bad about your ID.

Process could take a day though, which is the only problem.

is this a new development? i mean; was it unavailable before? like a few weeks ago?

They were all OutOfStock and also limited to different countries I believe.

Most importantly the N2800 config was around 10 EUR/mo I think, and their cheapest server was 8 EUR/month for a Celeron 220 or Atom 230 (both of which are worse CPUs than the N2800).

Damn, I love this. I can offer every client their own dedicated server with these back.

    That's not very nice....

    This is the Google translation:

I am contacting you today to inform you that your order for the KS-1 server in Canada is unfortunately not feasible.

Indeed, it was a display error on the site, these servers are not currently available in Canada.

We can offer you either a refund of the order, be transferred to a data center in France.

    BHS Denied!

Real shame, but not entirely unexpected...

With these prices it is really tempting to just pull the plugs on many of my vps's en move everything to a dedi.

    That's what I'm thinking.
