If you brake that cup, they will send debt collectors.

Not impressed by the VPS deals. I guess it's better than nothing for those looking for a VPS in NUE.

BTW, do you guys know what happens when somebody choose "No preference Europe" when buying a VPS/RS on the "normal" page ? Does it automatically select the cheapest location ? Is there any luck to grab a VPS/RS in NL this way ? Thanks

According to previous reports, it does not automatically select the cheapest location but allows Netcup to perform load balancing with respect to (one of ")the(ir") data center(s) they select for order fulfillment.

    For me:

    • VPS 1000 G11 SE OST25 created in Nuremberg (Germany)
    • VPS 1000 ARM G11 SE OST25 created in Vienna (Austria), even though the webpage says NUE

Even though I'm happy for the Vienna location because it's closer to me, it's just an headsup for you guys :)

In my opinion, the deals are rubbish and Netcup is just wasting peoples time. Boycott!!

  • When are they going to put root servers (with dedicated cores) on sale? Is it on Thursday / in half an hour German time?

I got the VPS 3000 for a bunch of apps, and a couple of VPS 1000 for my mail server and my private Burp Collaborator instance, but some of your comments from after I ordered them made me think that I should have probably have waited for the RS if the price difference isn't big.

  • I hadn't realized that the schedule is right at the bottom of the page. Can't wait to see the deals

  • The timer shows still 9h49m left for the current VPS deals, but it's already April 24 in Germany. Do you think they will add the root server deals after the VPS ones have expired?

Yes, rootserver deals will be available next.

Thursday, April 24th: Root Servers – More Specs, Top Prices

They post the deals usually at 9am local time (its 1am now in germany)

My Vienna RS is meh and with GB 6 only 1800, planning to leave when the term ends. There are better servers available at that price range nearing 2800+

The Root Server offers are popping up. 17-25% off + 100% disk at the low end, some additional cores on higher end plans.

    RS2000?

I have a RS2000 in vienna, this is my gb6 score

  • Why nothing in Amsterdam

  • Good thing I didn't wait for the RS ones, its the same regular price but instead of the usual 12 month contract, its only a month.

It's always the same deal, but you don't get the location surcharge, as well as the monthly-contract surcharge

  • They didn’t add the RS 3000 which is what I was looking for.

  • Oh, I checked the normal pricing and it seems that the RS 3000 doesn’t even exist…

And then there's me, just happy it's not something like 450, and seeing 1800 as excellent. Weird people, those lowenders...

Does Netcup honor 14-days cancelation on these specials ? For example, if I ordered VPS other day but now want to settle on RS and ditch VPS..

  • RS 2000
