does netcup require photo ID verification?
No. But they emailed me to send VAT card photos (I’m from Indonesia).
Just prepaid the invoice.
No need to give any documents.
It means i need send my NPWP?
Netcup needs to up their game.
Every time the same promo.
It'll be same price or some 1 euro less, double the storage. That's it.
They promise may be more cores but yet to see that in reality.
Yes
Does this come with ip4? because right below iam seeing addon for ip4 at 1.68/month.
vps It contains 1 ipv4. .
The add-on you see below is for extra ipv4.
Don't buy vps from netcup.
Wait a few days and buy the root servers.
There's just 3€ difference but in terms of performance, it's huge.
Woah that rather easy to be honest, I just avoid some german provider cause silly KYC and contract stuff, but this looks not. Would consider to buy one.
I think so. They sent me a link for “verification” saying “We recommend that you use a device with a camera for verification.”
shit, i thought it was root server. Luckily it was out of stock when i tried adding to cart.
To be honest, if you pay as prepaid, you don't need to even give any documents.
I was asked for kyc but I just chose prepaid and done.
Yes they require to verify Photo ID
Out of stock
As someone who never had an account with them, what does this mean? I'm interested in their domain offer, so is it something like buying a credit first?
It means when you try to buy, they will give two options.
Select 1, pay it and vps will be instantly available.
Haven't bought domain for them so no idea in this case.
If you don't do KYC, NetCup won't allow any servers to get transferred to your account. I didn't bother doing KYC for one of my orders so after X days the order got cancelled.
When I tried to transfer a server to my account from another user on LET like a month later, it didn't work. Support said I need to place order and do KYC to be able to get other servers transferred out to me.
Just fyi
Not the case for me though... Never did KYC and can transfer services in/out without problems lol.
VPS piko G11s 12M is back in stock for those who need tiny cheap vps
no stock now
the sale has been started
but only domains
it will be refreshed daily
At the bottom of the page there is a calendar showing which discounts will be on which days.

(This is in addition to any flash sales along the way)
Are those domain deals just for first year or recurring?
Not particularly good deals so far.
Those cores gains are often also less useful.
In general, both tend to peak in performance around the second or third VPS package.
Mostly because the servers are overbooked, and have a very narrow leftover capacity. The moment you really push those cores, everybody else hinders.
And yes, the RS are faster ( mostly because its AMD Zen4 cores from 2023, vs ARM cores from 2019). There seem to be less overbooking but still suffer from this same issue, even with dedicated cores. Because the more active clients, max frequency is pushed to base frequency, cache and memory is taxed more etc.
The longer those servers are in usage, the more clients are pushed on them, and the worst the performance gets. So those initial benchmarks when a new generation comes out, are always misleading as people tend to be on empty servers.
Hetzner their ARM VPS are much more stable as they do not overbook them to the same extend, and Hetzner does active throttling on abuse (> 80% gets you downclocked performance). On the other hand, their Dedicated VPS are extreme expensive but because you are actually getting way less overbooking, and have more stable permanent performance.
But if you want tasks to perform good, get a dedicated servers like the Hetzner AX42, what ironically costs less, then Netcup their VPS, if you take in account the whole 20% extra payment for 1 month termination contracts, and lower costs for locations.
Learned my lesson the hard way with Netcup.
Netcup is more if you really want a lot of storage space / memory.
That's a very detailed analysis. I appreciate the heads up. I am relatively new to netcup (bought RS server few month ago) so still exploring different products and performances.
Next venturing will be hetzner. Including you, many people have praised.
