@noisycode said: ahhh, so there will be no more directadmin based shared hosting or tiny reseller plan?

Shared 1G & 5G are going to not be sold anymore.

Resellers are there and will be opened up hopefully tonight or tomorrow. I have to integrate the Location picker into those plans before we can make them live. They'll be available in all locations.

Mike still wants to work on a content page for it, but for the absolute immediate it might just be a menu link.

old buyshared 20G (cpanel, luxembourg) will now automatically become namecrane "shared Hosting - Shared 25G"??? @Francisco

I'm kind of glad you are (also) offering cPanel on your plans. For all the love I have for DA being an alternative to cPanel price hikes etc, I still never got warm with it.

Believe me, I'm waiting too. We get great domain pricing with InternetBS (Insider tier, 16% discount) but I'm hoping to start reselling NameCrane as soon as Fran lets me. Not sure what the pricing for resellers and cool dudes like me who has been a BuyVM customer for over a decade will get, though. :)

@Francisco mentioned in a previous reply that wait was on ICANN's side or something.

    .no and .io for 15$/year.

We'll upgrade all 20G -> 25G in the next day or so.

I'll also see about some sort of perk for the 1G/5G plans to make you all happy. :)

    Correct.

We expected a lot more movement from cPanel -> DA. Once the big rush of 'I have 900 accounts on a single reseller' people moved off, everyone else is perfectly happy to keep on with cPanel.

I lost that war and we just give people what they want.

I got a 500G cPanel crate in the UK. It's very nice and super responsive. I still say my UK servers are faster, but I will give you a pass since you're new to the UK.

  • sassliksasslik Member

Can someone do a Wordpress Benchmark performance test in the UK? Post here or send me pm?

    Thanks!

Sorry to keep bugging you with this, but IMO, the 1 GB plans are the ones, which need to be upgraded the most these days (especially for the old customers).

The details are in my yesterday's post on this:
    https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/comment/3922546/#Comment_3922546

Just in case, I don't have a 20 GB plan, but extra 5 GBs look like a nice perk. I wouldn't mind getting one :D

IOPs & IO aren't capped anymore. Just no reason.

EP/NP is 'default' on those. We'd love to get feedback if people are hitting limits so we can adjust them up.

    Francisco

    Nice! Do you allow SSH?

  • @Francisco The shared hosting cPanel pricing seems off?

    Shared 25 = $4.50 (less resources then Shared 50)
    Shared 50 = $3.00

    Shared 25 is billed quarterly.

Thanks, I did not catch that!

BTW, I like the new website design - even if it is temporary.

@Francisco no plans to move the old (buyshared) 125GB over?

Crates are available in all locations.

Budget resellers will be open later today or tomorrow. Got caught up in some provisioning issues from the transfer.

Edit: my bad, totally missed the website for namecrane already exists!

Sad to see that their won't anymore be any plans in the approximate $8 and $13 price categories.

Perhaps consider a $12/annual plan with, maybe, 5GB?
