And mind you - he incurred debt for his company. So he should be 20k under.

20k he invested in the home rack data center + free energy panels from god.

Then he takes a 17k loan on personal name to invest in "hazna.ro"

Man it seems I missed the shitshow after the party ended.

Regardless, I mean I think the loan is between him and the lender. Not him and LET. He can give excuses but at the end of the day it's his ass on the line. Noone gives a fuck, they just want the money.

So what? It's not like they would give a shit about what internet forums he's banned from. The only thing they care for is receiving payments on time.

  • I have one VM from this guy for about 3 months.
Server performance was above average and connectivity could be deemed "fine" for a dc in a basement.

The "new uplink" situation came up more than 2 weeks ago with an expectancy of performance drops for a day, as stated in the subject of this thread.
That expectancy exceeded its due and prolonged until now.

I'm generally a patient person, especially with the service sector, because inevitably there will be a kind of delay at some point due to human factor.

I'd already let the manual monitoring go for a while to let all these problems settle (thinking that I wouldn't be an extra burden on the host by not touching the server and not opening tickets)
because I wasn't even able to establish a persistent connection to my service. So I gave it time.

3 days ago I've received an e-mail from Hazi stating that my service has been suspended due to CPU abuse, with a screenshot of an evidence which shows a Proxmox graph of my VM using 80% CPU for over 24 hours.

That's fair enough; so I replied back stating that I have nothing to do with the server for 2 weeks already and that I would like to fix whatever's causing it; yet after more than 24 hours, there's still no response.

Now I would totally understand it must be cumbersome to take care of all these e-mails to process during the storm. Nevertheless, that's the same entity who had enough time to check CPU usages, take screenshots and send out abuse e-mails manually.

I don't usually complain at all, but as a customer who never misses any invoice, who pays on time and who tries to cooperate, I really don't like to get treated like I don't exist especially by an individual who runs a datacenter at home.

I hope he gets over all these, but I don't ever want to be any part of it again, not because its overpriced or he had some outages, but because the way I was treated.

    Good luck.

    Hey!
Three months later, I can confirm what I suspected since I was full of optimism saying that although it will create some very high additional costs, the clients will receive better services at the same price, and that's what happened.
A VPS with a 1TB HDD for only 4 EUR/month was the target of a strong attack this morning and apparently Arbor coped brilliantly as I did not experience either the interruption of the Internet connection or its limitation to a limit of 2- 3Mbps as we experienced in our first "real" datacenter.

Coolio! I wonder, how does it track the network data? I've got no idea bout BGP and all the staff, so that's probably how, but still.
