I want to visit Romania :—)
Romanian sisters down the road
you mean .
Discord is blabla. I care about reality and facts.
Let me provide you one fact: I'm happy with my storage VPS from ihost / @Calin. It became pretty stable.
Post a speedtest showing upload
You should do that, you will not regret ga to Oradea it's a nice city the nature is also really nice

Why would I do that? Because someone in a forum did demand it?
But hey, I'm a friendly guy, so I quickly uploaded a (about) 1.1 GB ISO to my ihost / @Calin storage box from my @Hybula box (so, if any, the bottleneck were the ihost box).
Result: 80.52 Mb/s
Nothing to brag about but neither crappy, and certainly OK for the price. Happy camper here.
You eat kobe meat at dinner - you happy and no questions of proof asked. Others - eat bull shit and are happy too. They also has right for no proof. It is ok when everyone is happy.
Based on what I'm seeing you have a packet flood happening on your network. And you seem to be doing nothing about it.
You might have to in order to get your data.
Ok, now try moving it off. Current speeds are 56kb/s. That's about as fast as a modem.
internal packet flood happening there for days
100% 191MB 63.7KB/s 51:08
51 minutes to move 191MB file
at this rate, would take 1090 days to move 6tb of data off
the 2 ips involved in the packet floods are his proxmox hosts. Every VM on the network is getting blasted with 100Mbit/s traffic.
No.
(a) I've had enough of the self-entitled cheap shot "ihost / @Calin is crappy. Prove they are not!" demands, (b) I'm not anybody's employee here, and (c) I have no problems with my ihost storage box or its connectivity; sure, it's no speed daemon but (a) neither is it a price daemon, nor (b) do I need a secondary or tertiary backup box to be super fast.
I'm content with what I've got for really little money.
This must be Calin's cousin.
In other words: you have no arguments.
That’s showing download (from Hybula, to iHost) so your comprehension of my “demand” was as poor as the speedtest “result”. Try uploading -from- iHost- to -any- host (Google, your home, Crunchbits, Hetzner Storage) and if you get more than 10Mbps average over 10 minutes I’ll eat my words (and asshole).
I've heard really good things about it. I'm probably going around June/July next year. First is Japan this December/Jan... then I'll save up for a SKITTY euro trip
Good appetite. I did (and published it here). Around 20 Mb/s. Enjoy!
I hope you are hungry, because I just did it again, this time with a larger file (4.2 GB). The results:
Some (relatively beefy) site -> ihost: 61.92 Mb/s
and then ihost -> Hybula: 53.32 Mb/s
Btw, both took a bit over 10 minutes.
So much for "about the speed of a modem" and similar.
I've eaten ass but never before my own. Thankfully I bleach it weekly.
If only I could get that on my STOR-1, STOR-2, and STOR-3 boxes :-(
None of them can manage that, not even to Google. I'll be having myself lunch for dinner then I guess.
I do wonder why -everyone- else on the Discord can't manage that. Which node are you on @jsg out of interest?
I just love it when the user knows the node names.......
, if he knows the ip's, it is
I pray this ends soon...
well, @Calin is cooking up something, he might surprise us all.
STOR-1 94.177.106.101
STOR-2 94.177.106.253
STOR-3 94.177.106.254
PCAP of the BUM BLASTING my boxes have been getting: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1FlSCux2AfnMrCYh00NLGJ7_KgqTcVMvJ/view?usp=drive_link
Me trying to help by spitballing:
Calin himself asking if I had any ideas:
I am trying to help. I don't want to throw shit around, I want this to be fixed so my data isn't stuck. I've even joked to Calin about shipping him a NAS for him to load my data on to DHL back to me
iHostArt is a collaborative group project
I've given him a lot of money and haven't asked for a cent back. I have faith SOMEHOW this won't sink.
My brother @iHostART - goodluck and godspeed.
I hope also, I really do not need another Romanian PR cociu fiasco.
I even estimated the number of VMs. To the exact number. (Although despite my Discord name DJ Stealth... I am an accountant by trade.)
iHostArt's @Calin has been nothing but transparent, honest, and willing to help his customers;
and while this bump in the road is very bumpy and some might have said things in the heat of things, I have faith this won't turn into another fallen provider.
I've been a customer for over a year (proof shown in Discord) and this is just a case of abusive customers making it shit for the rest of us.
They have been kicked off, and Calin is busy fixing the damage they caused to his network's performance.
