Branding removal on all but the first plan, lol.
Although currently is no change or any affect to owned license owner, but i am believe they will come out a new support plan to charge existing owned license holder.

Existing Owned Licenses are unaffected by these changes. Owned licenses will continue to provide the same unlimited active client usage as before.

Just got me an owned license while I still could. Because Why not.
They have also confirmed that suspended users for none payment are counted towards 'active' users and that the data they collect from your WHMCS install is not looking at the Status= Active when determining how many active clients you have, it looks at "Products/Services" 1 (1 Total) fields.

So, decode the checking file, have it return dummy data to WHMCS like only 5 active clients, and have infinite clients
I doubt they do any call homes, that'd be iffy at best. The license gets cached locally and it likely just carries a variable of how many clients are allowed. WHMCS then refers to this data on every (admin?) page view.

Betting this was the 'security issue' they patched with the license module a month or so ago.
The price change basically affects no one who would be sensitive to WHMCS price changes. If you have over 1000 active clients, a $10 license fee change won't even register on the radar.
I don't like it, but I don't really care. I've always used WHMCS.

Hosts around here would have a lot more reason to complain about SolusVM licensing going that way. You only need one WHMCS, no matter how many servers you have. SolusVM, however, that's a direct per-node cut. Would drive people here away very fast I'd wager, while WHMCS definitely won't (what ya gonna do, hostbill? lol).
WHMCS is getting greedy: a fair solution would have been in example this:
from 251 to 1000 Customer: $14,95
from 1001 or more Customer: $19,95
from 1001 or more Customer: $19,95

If someone puts up an ad for a job on here you all shoot him/her down for the low amount, not a living wage etc. You need the income to pay the living wage.
WHMCS is a company with several employees, offices and all the associated costs. Especially for a UK based firm.
Love it, hate it or indifferent towards it bills need to be paid. Prices go up in all companies eventually.
The reality is that that the changes are nothing at this time. Those that will pay the top tier price quite frankly have nothing to complain about.
If a couple of $'s are not worth it then the options are build your own, the time and cost of that will far exceed the WHMCS prices over many years. Move to a different panel like Blesta and save a couple of bucks, but if that was your worry before then you would have done it.
If you just want a bitch about more money than anything else, carry on.
The generic nature of any Business is, if prices are raise up, there must BE additional Benefits for the customer..But not here. You get nothing for your additional paid amount. Only one Business can raise up prices (and sometimes reduce) without additional Benefits: The Gast Station in your town!
I am well aware that nothing that is said will be listened too, I just don't think there is really any justification except profit for this price hike, its not like that have made any significant improvements or added valuable features, customer service quality is at an all time low.
The only justification so far is that it is apparently more valuable to me because I have over 1000 customers, so I should pay more.
If I was a builder and I was successful I don't expect to pay more for my materials.
I would respect it more if they either said, we just want to increase revenue or if they said because we are planning XYZ and need to fund it, but just because I have over 1000 customers.. that's just stupid.

But the gas station has to pay for the gas, food, employees to run it.
