Dropped them a ticket. Will let you know what they have to say about the RIPE blocks. Usually they're pretty quick.
If this works out I'll reconsider cancelling one of servers
Do not abuse a vendor's billing system like this...such "cheap dick" acts enforce stringent profile verifications and billing control making it harder for actual genuine clients trying to enroll.
Thank you, that's awesome from your part. Really would love to know the costs. Would be great for a VPS provider as well.
+1 , curious too.
btw, elCheapo could you do me a favour and change your avatar again? the one you use at the moment is very much like the one @zhuanyi uses for a long time... kind of distracting. :-) THX!
@MrGeneral - Just change it back to the good old original one!
What a rip-off! Wasn't aware...
You mean my cartoon face?
Yes. The cartoon face. The one you wore when we first met.
Ah that one from a fiverr cartoon face designer hehehe
Which cleary shows that cheap stuff can be nice, too!
A cheap avatar for the famous ElCheapo. How could you even change it in the first place?
Support forwarded it to the concerned department. My guess is they're not available after business hours so let's wait till tomorrow. Anyway, will keep you guys posted.
Could you tell me how 4 & 5 can be done? Or just point to resources?
El Cheapo will return tomorrow!
Hasta la vista, baby.
I imagined that with a Schwarzenegger accent.
4) Check This
5) Proxmox
Quantity warning: last 17 servers for Dedibox Limited 23816
The offer was now announced on Facebook and Twitter.
Thanks for changing, much better now ;-)
For Dell SSD users there is an update, but it's not possible to apply it on non-DELL hardware:
Much, much better!

@MrGeneral is a big shot here, glad we share the same sense of humor :-)
So back on topic, what do people use for the Avotons + SSD config? I thought normally Atoms are only good enough to work as a storage/backup server but SSD is very space-limiting.
Anybody got a good guide for the proper setup of IPv6 on a Proxomox 4 host node for Online.net? I followed their IPv6 guide (in conjunction with changing the setting in /etc/modprobe.d/local.conf to enable ipv6 and enabling the ipv6 module). However, nothing I've done has allowed me to get it working.
If anyone has a proper guide for this, I would be most appreciative.
You can use these for whatever you want, these Avotons are pretty powerful for the prices - 8 2.4GHz cores:
and here's a Geekbench3 (haven't used 4 on it yet): http://browser.primatelabs.com/geekbench3/8073524
When people talk about storage and atoms they're usually talking about the lowend 230 or the cheap Kimsufi Atoms.
They are faster than i3s in multithreaded workloads so they are nowhere near as slow as you think.
Do they have IPMI ?
Yeah.
This is pretty good then.
10.99 euro for unmetered bandwidth with avoton c2750, very great deals.
Hehe need to buy another cartoon...
We do indeed. I honestly wasn't aware you had a very very similar avatar, it was one of the first to appear on Google!
What is the speed of the 1TB harddisk vs SSD on the atom server ? I see SSd speeds of around 165MBps but nothing on the Harddisk version
