Oh god it really has come to this.
I'll be sure to take this advice, thanks. It could always be worse, the poor guy above me lost 9k worth of servers :( This whole thing is my worst nightmare...

The poor guy above you was likely the guy that stole your stuff. Notice he's gone and suddenly 'wasnt too worried about the missing gear, maybe paypal will side with me'.

    If you were scammed: http://wdprs.internic.net/

Explain your story about VyprNetworks.com so he loses the domain.

It's a Regus Business Center. These are used for day offices, and unless he pays over 500/mo he has no permanent address there.

He copied and pasted the address and could not even be bothered to strip the city, state, or country from the street input:

Tech Street: 1455 NW LEARY WAY SEATTLE WA US

To those affected file police report here:
    http://www.baytown.org/city-hall/departments/police/non-emergencies

Edit - Never mind, you can't file online as stated on the page:
"This incident occurred within the Baytown Police Department City limits?"

    What the hell.

Something that might be a problem is I'm not in the area. I live a few states over in Florida. I'm more than willing to take a trip over for my stuff though, this isn't a game.

Well, why do i feel that these scammers are far more dangerous than BustNet and VolumeDrive, since they seem to come back very frequently these days.

One question that really bothers me is, Can it be prevented in future ?
Guys, this was all quite "organised" ( thanks to LET , it was ripped apart ) , atleast for for some1 like me.

I did get alarmed over that "Intel" thing, somehow i feel it was a "deliberate" attempt .. "catch me if u cn" type comment.

The Bottom line is, @jarland its time for you to get some changes over LET especially in colo/hardware offers.

No wonder, i now realize why web hosting is a "High Risk" category of business.

It can, and with some creative solutions I'm working on it can be transparent and not require any disruption to the way the community works. In the meantime we're just scrutinizing provider tag requests. Once I finish my other plan we'll loosen that back up and carry on like this never happened :)

I was actually with Volume Drive at one point but managed to get out of there. One of the same servers too. I sure can pick 'em.

Edit: my bad that thread doesn't explain much. They were behind payments with burstnet and abandoned a lot of servers. At least some were left behind :/

@vpsguy , well I was searching their reviews and got a ton of negative reviews.

  • I lost a Paypal case. Paypal said they are "unable" to decide in my favour.

    When did they say that?
have you tried contacting them over the phone and talking to a human that makes it more likely they will decide in your favor?
As I had TCP T(VyperNetworks scammer) respond to all of the claims I send in and paypal on the web won't reveal what he said when he "responded" to the claims.
though I wish paypal would have someone in their dispute dept to answer my calls as it appears they don't work on the weekends or something.

Earlier today my case was closed, I've appealed with more info. Scammers shouldn't be allowed to get away with it like this.

I agree I have won a many paypal disputes by calling them on the phone and talking to a human about it.

  • I have tried to call them, but it says they are closed even though their site states they are open for another 3 hours.

  • In the past, Josh has boasted about how he can win Paypal claims easily, so I imagine he told them some BS but I'll have to wait until monday.

  • I finally got someone on the phone with paypal! to resolve this! I have tried all day to get someone and they finally answered.

I purchased all of my servers I am not renting anything anymore if I don't have to.
No it isn't resolved yet still waiting on paypal to decide the outcome.

Edit by @jarland: This post is the owner of VyprNetworks attempting to downplay the severity of this event and call into question the link to Joshua Prout, to better his own reputation.

I received most of my hardware back today after two days of talking with Jimmy from PsychzNetworks and also time4colo on skype and via email. I did not however get back the most expensive server I had housed at vyprnetworks from what Jimmy mentioned to me the server was taken from the Data Center already so nothing they could do to help me with that.

    I filed a police report with the Dallas Police department but the questions that came up were;

    1. Did I willingly ship my servers to vyprnetworks?
    2. Where my servers ever moved from the data center
    3. The name of the person I shipped my servers to specifically.

I answered yes I willingly shipped my servers to vyprnetworks I also gave them the tracking numbers. I told them my servers were online until about a week ago and at that time I have no idea if they were moved or not. I mentioned to them I did not know the name of the person I shipped my servers to directly I only knew of the company.

They basically told me they would look into whatever was going on and let me know if their was anything they could do to help me out, because my server that I lost was about 3k in total wealth I decided to just pay a bit of money to get a little claims court attorney to look into it for me which was about $200 for consulting and the first thing the lawyer asked me was who exactly was the party I was trying to file the claim against I couldn't say Joshua Prout because I did not know beyond a reasonable doubt that this is the guy who even stole from me so anything that can be found to actually prove this is the guy and not just a internet forums he say she say would greatly help my cause and probably everyone's cause that has had things stolen from them.

This is not in anyway a shill account or anything like that my account can be verified by a administrator I have my id on standby.

Then why not just drop the VPN for a minute? :)

That's what gets me the most: "I'm totally legitimate and not this other person, I just use the same VPN that he uses and that VPN is absolutely not popular on LET due to it's high price point."

I was not here to stay as I don't use online forums such as this one, was only here to update my situation you may ban my account if you feel the need to as I will not be using it. My situation is pretty much cleared up regards to Jimmy from Psychz and time4colo for working together to get my things back.

That's what I thought. You had an ID handy to give me but asking you to drop the VPN was too much. Bye Josh.

Thinking about this guy makes me sick.

Just a piece of useless scum which exists only to inflict more damage to innocent people.
