I calculate about $300+ I spend on getting the server upgrading it with new hard disks etc. though I have already contacted paypal and still have claims going on all of those transactions with him.

I was going through pre-sales with him, and the prices seemed to good to be true. I finally noticed one thing that caught my eye in a signature. I didn't sign up for this reason -

    Joshua Jones
    Carrier 1 Dallas Texas Certified
    VyprNetworks Operations & Sales Manager…

I noticed on many forums he went stale towards the end of 2015, which to me I would assume is a new 'e-identity'. The texas thing is what made things click for me. I really don't know if they're the same person, but that was enough for me to back down.

Sad story, at least you guys have paypal working on getting your money back and i am damn sure they will get it back.

Once and scammer always a scammer, he just renamed it, reminds me of Adam Hockley and Craig Price.

Can also confirm that about a week ago the account email for @VyprNetworks changed to one that resembles the name @Riz posted.. Joshua Jones.

Back when I pulled him over for suspicious activity after receiving a report that servers weren't being delivered and they had an unlicensed WHMCS, they told us that their "specialist" will be looking into it soon and to no surprise it was licensed not long after.

I wasn't confident in letting them back in, and wanted to rule out the possibility of them being an unwanted face around here (IgniteServers).

I asked for ID or some sort of business registration / official documents, but he was hesitant and instead wanted his "sales manager" to verify his identity with me.

Here's what he gave me instead:

We had nothing else to hold him on, so we let it go.

well there kinda was something to hold him on as there is no way it should be allowed to let anyone to provide their "id" as a picture of them in a dc with servers with nothing more than a note that to me isn't id and I wouldn't allow him at all back if he doesn't produce a real valid id to verify him or anyone trying this.
I suggest a permanent ban for @VyprNetworks and also all of his future companies and scams though I suggest changing the provider tag requirements that you must produce valid identification to prove your identity if any of the admins/mods have questions on your legitimacy and if you don't produce a valid id you will not get the provider tag at all....and this is mostly for people who are questionable like this @VyprNetworks is/was that the admins/mods found questionable.

I mean we're LET though. If we ask for ID we're really fishing for something we're concerned about. Mostly, we're curious if they're willing to go the extra mile... much more so than actually wanting to collect anyone's ID.

It's not a regular practice or a matter of policy here.

yes I am not saying to collect anyone's ID just to check their id look it over and verify they are who they say they are and if they are let them have it if they meet the other rules as well otherwise don't let them have it.
as if you have to ask for their id you are concerned because there not being truthful or honest

Do you expect the team here to take courses to be able to judge whether an ID from another side of the planet is valid or not? Some common sense on the buyer's side would prevent more fraud than any checking that we could do.

I did see that signature too, but my memory is bad and didn't remember the Joshua Jones name. I could've saved so much trouble to others... :(

    Nice catch, dude.

Considering what can be seen from the outside, many times you guys actually go out of your way to do that.

So thanks for trying (and being often successful).

His skype is down , looks like even my hardware is gone. I'll be busy in charge backs for now and yes I'll still be operating out of Psychz DC I've decided to get a cabinet and will be offering colocation. But now issues lies with trust factor how many would actually put their trust into colo'ing with resellers is the question. There's no way im selling colo for $25 a month for a 1U space in such a reputed DC.

Whoever purchased hardware whats your status unlike me I've just called up paypal and pulled the trigger for now.

Though stripe charge back application is yet to be submitted if I don't get my money back I'll just consider it charity for an idiot that's all.

    EDIT 1:

@jarland it was me who reported the suspicion of their business to @ishaq he got banned though he might have given a valid reason to get unbanned maybe.

    EDIT 2:

    @timnboys
I think a rule that anyone dealing in colo should have a valid registered business to do so because you can legally impound them , You just don't allow them to post colo offers or even put them in their signatures if they don't meet the criteria. (Suggesting, I don't want @jarland to feel im trying to tell him what to do :P )

    EDIT 3:

As for refugee offers if anyone is looking for one please do contact me and I'll let you know what I can do for you with a bonus of free 1st month ( as a consoling offer ) for your loss of time and money and in good faith.

He is serial offender and was banned in a day at wht after ceehost posted something.Obviously they found his old itnetwork accounts

I still feel sad for the kid who send 7k of hardware to him.He destroyed the kids dream and hard earned money.

I give just about anyone a chance to speak up and make their case, unless they're a spammer or they have no case to make. I haven't caught up on every post in this thread so you may have processed more than I have right now, but if a ban is appropriate one will be coming. He's not active right now so it's not my top priority, it's just an avatar change at the moment.

I'm quite certain a ban is incoming, even if it is just a symbolic gesture at this point.

I was considering buying some hardware from him as well, however for some reason I just couldn't trust him though so I never even contacted him. Guess I dodged a bullet here.

So what did we learn today? Just like IgniteServers, if it's too good to be true it'll go up in flames.

I though after IgniteServers people would be smarter, clearly not.
