Thanks guys!
Enough time, isn't it :-)

@hotsnow basicaly ipv6 is to configure manualy in your adapter settings.
I'd like to tell you more but honestly i still have messages (here on LET) to answer so i would rather you to open a ticket to support team please.
I see the server's IP, but still can not be used, how long it needs?
@joereid @hotsnow for this price yeah hard drives are not new
What i could suggest is you can take a ikeepincloud (ikoula cloud storage) it is 100gb and first month is free. You will be able to rsync your conf there for one month.
I guess that's going to be the norm for this kit, 37,054 here, but it is still in warranty. Happier with a slightly old enterprise class drive than a newer desktop drive, particularly as mine is running along at 47 deg.
What was the basis for such expectation?
Spoiled from other providers?
Spoiled from other French providers, pray tell from which ones? XD
I'm impressed with the server so far, ended up getting a 1tb hard drive with 4 cores instead of 2 cores and 4gb of ram instead of 2. Performing very well haven't screwed anything up yet, unlike certain people.
Got an excellent deal, thanks so much for the offer!
@rm_ certain ones with 3 characters and others that are "online." xD
Atom D510 is a 2-core CPU with HT (4 virtual cores), and 4GB of RAM is already per specs of this offer, no mention of 2 GB anywhere.
Some of you asked how to set up ipv6, tickets opened to our support are dealt but i add here too the "how to".
If you want to test if IPV6 is supported by your OS, you can type:
test -f /proc/net/if_inet6 && echo "Running kernet supports IPV6"
If not, you can activate it with:
modprobe ipv6
And then you should be able to test the loading of the module with:
lsmod | grep -w 'ipv6' && echo "IPV6 module loaded"
You will have to define in the /etc/network/interfaces the following configuration (don't forget to change the values by yours):
Iface ethX inet6 static
address <address>
netmask <netmask>
gateway <address>
Finally just type:
/etc/init.d/networking restart
You can easily know your IPv6 address with the IPv4 address of your server
2A00:c70:1:XXX:XXX:XXX:XXX:1 where "XXX:XXX:XXX:XXX" is the IPv4 address
The address of your gateway will be 2A00:c70:1:XXX:XXX:XXX::1 where XXX:XXX:XXX stands for the 3 first bytes of the IPv4 address of your server.
Concerning the netmask many tools exist
I got a message from my colleagues one of you managed to do it following this guide.
Jup! Just wanted to say the same. It's 2 real cores, and each has HT. But it IS indeed a VERY nice offer if you value storage over network speed (I refer to the 100Mbit/s, not their routing). Its kidechire kind of cheap/awesome ;-)
BTW, ikoula:
Can you post some info about your network, please?
I'm not an expert on this, but this site: http://bgp.he.net/AS21409#_peers
is telling me that you have exactly 14 peers (IPv4), right?
But your website says its ~350 peers: https://www.ikoula.com/pourquoi_Ikoula
This site only lists 3x 1gbit/s to IXes which seems way to small:
https://beta.peeringdb.com/net/456
Also, when I use your lookingglass to do a traceroute to leaseweb, it looks like this:
ikdc1.ikoula.com -> leaseweb.franceix.net -> leaseweb.net
Which looks like direct peering via franceIX to me, no?
I'm confused... Probably due to a lack of knowledge.
So, is there a current, complete list of your peers and transits somewhere? Maybe including the portspeeds?
Or can you at least tell me if you peer with these ASes:
OVH
online.net
leaseweb
?
Also, please send me that seedbox pm ;-)
https://support.ikoula.com/ is back !
@that_guy i will answer your questions and if there is still questions i can see with network team
The page you mentioned is telling we have 350 peerings deals the list is viewable on the same page just clic "Voir les accords de peering d'Ikoula".
What you can also get is from support website if you clic on "etat du reseau" tab you can get the weathermap.
Mostly that i think..
As i tested, here the netmask value just need to be 64
Actually in their setup the netmask should be 112. However larger masks will work assuming you're not trying to talk to other v6 addresses on their network.
Anyone managed to install Ubuntu?
It's /96 according to their support portal
https://support.ikoula.com/index-1-2-219-2564-IPV6-serveur-d%C3%A9di%C3%A9%20calcule.html
close enough
Will it be availabe in the future?
The offer page is now showing Victime de son succès which translates to Victim of its success, sounds familiar.
Hi, guys. Do you ordered this 'france-dedi-atom510-4gb-1tb-5-33-month' server? Anyone who have changed OS successfully can tell me how to change it? I type command and execute it as bellow:
wget -O- http://195.154.126.62/image/windows2008.R2.raw | dd of=/dev/sda
then I don't know what should I do then? I could not found Rescue Mode in the control panel.
Now I can not connect by SSH.. That's sad. I am first time use a dedicated server, there's no VNC like a KMV VPS that can help you see a window of installation?
I need your help, thanks very much!
Now I click "Reset" then click "Netboot",after a while, I can ping xxx.xxx.xx.xx .and it could get reply, what should I do continue?
You should email their support team to assist you.
there's no link or button can open a ticket? just have live chat but no people response. After I click reset it seems back to new like just delivery ,the problem is root password is not same with the password that I have changed to, I also used password form the delivery info of email also failed. In a word, now I can not connect ssh, don't know how to change OS. my god!
This is a very nice offers indeed.
