Francisco when can new customers signup, or can we buy a US based service and then ticket in for LU?

Since you want an anycast setup, just ticket in and tell them what you want and they'll get you going.

    Francisco

  • Current customer means what? I only have shared hosting but want some of this anycast stuff as well.

    MMMMMM that's good anycast.

Since you want anycast you get front of the line as well. Just ticket, let them know what plans.

I only have one LV $15 vps currently, in order to get the anycast, do I must order both another NJ and another LU? :p

  • @hotsnow Correct. Otherwise; what's the benefit of Anycast if it needs to backhaul to other locations? I think part of making it free is because you're already paying for services in 3 locations with them.

We aren't backhauling the transit between locations.

When the anycast code gets committed to stallion it'll run a check against your account when you try to assign an address to make sure you have service in every location, otherwise it'll not allow it.

We don't want people getting black outs for whole regions/etc and then getting upset at us screaming they're having downtime in said places :)

  • Is shared hosting available in Luxembourg as well or is it just VPS for now?

VPS' for now. I have a little more configuring/etc on shared before I push it out the door.

Can I post about it being available on here or does that violate the rules, being non VPS and all?

    Francisco

  • BWAHAHAHAHAHA

Thank you @Francisco, it has been provisioned now.

I can sleep well tonight :P

  • FranciscoFrancisco Top Host, Host Rep, Veteran

Remember, anycast is still a week or so out. I'm trying to get it all settled ASAP as I know some of you are buying plans preempting it.

  • Francisco said: Can I post about it being available on here or does that violate the rules, being non VPS and all?

If it's available there's no harm in mentioning it in this thread, but it shouldn't be a real offer as we don't do shared hosting offers (as you know). So no order links, please, unless requested.

    That works, thanks :)

  • Shame that only those with active services can get the goodies now (as I just let my current yearly lapse in anticipation of the Luxembourg location), but understandable, the faithful should be rewarded. I can be patient...

  • @Nekki you could always order a VPS in some other location first i guess, cancel it next month if you don't need it?

  • rds100 said: @Nekki you could always order a VPS in some other location first i guess, cancel it next month if you don't need it?

I did consider that, but I'm trying to get out of the habit of buying stuff I don't need.

That said, pretty sure I don't need a VPS in Luxembourg, but....

  • So excited. Really looking forward to these goodies coming out. Awesome job, Francisco!

  • Nekki said: I'm trying to get out of the habit of buying stuff I don't need.

Yeah, pretty important when you try to follow what happens in the LEB market :)

  • Very nice ping from Sweden to my VPS in LU :)

There is something like a bundle for ppl that want the three location for an anycast setup? :)

Not really. Remember, we're giving away anycast IP's for free. You'll be able to automatically attach up to 5 anycast IP's w/o any sort of staff involvement right from within Stallion.

Me too, but I ordered one anyways...

  • How are current customers getting servers in Luxembourg? I have instances in LV and NJ and waiting for the new location to open up so I can use an anycast IP. I don't see anything available on the website yet :(

  • @oti Open a ticket to order.
