Yes/No kinda. But guess what they hire pedos. Yikes.

    Avoid them at all costs.

@JosephF said: And who are Telia and Path, and how is this relevant to anyone here?

Telia (I assume he ment Arelion) is a big T1 ISP they used in the past, and Path itself is a shit lowend but functional DDoS protection service that some or many hosting providers that offer semi LowEndShitboxes use for DDoS protection, so its definitly relevant here.

So Path is a low-end version of CloudFlare?

Path also offers a WAF, but it works more poorly than well. We are glad that we no longer have to announce anything there.

@stefeman said: Nah, they've sold under 100 USD blade servers for ages now with 10Gbps dedicated port.

Dedicated server with a shared 10 gbps port? Or dedicated server with 10 gbps dedicated bandwidth?

I didn't see where they said bandwidth was dedicated.. Only the server with a 10 gbps port.

To be fair though, I didn't spend a lot of time looking.

Cologix is also suing them: https://smallpdf.com/file#s=3be482ac-ab94-4206-a409-a86336f68042

It is too bad they didn't include the invoices in the lawsuit, rather than just a statement of account... I'm curious why there are two $30k+ invoices but most were ~$2500.

To be fair, Cloudflare probably could protect a game server as well (magic transit), but @kait is right in general still, it's what they're known for respectively at least

Yeah, I've heard their magic transit is also expensive so doubt you will see it anywhere near the LowEnd Section of the web.

Yup, BuyVM was basically a beta tester if I remember it correctly, seems they didn't get to keep it afterwards though xD (or it wasn't good enough, I wouldn't know their reason)

Haven't really seen any well-known (or any at all) VPS provider using it. It's probably expensive enough that it fits companies making way more money per TB of clean bandwidth compared to hosts anyway, like mobile apps etc

Hope they can migrate to CDN77 or CosmicGuard soon. Path seems to be dying faster than I thought.

Bloom used to use it, not anymore iirc

We still use it in some of our locations, but we are phasing it out as we transition to our in-house protection company-wide. For us, Magic transit generally worked well, but the lack of L7 game filtering was the main reason for switching away.

This is why Cloudflare needs to post $7/year black Friday flash deal on LET for Magic Transit

Path is imploding like OceanGate. Their ship is leaking from everywhere and tons of material gets posted all over forums and discord servers by their current and ex employees.

Theres so much drama I dont know what I should post. Theyre essentially public anyway at this point.

There are some allegations that https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/192572/purchased-servers-from-hypere-cloud-kuxo-20-months-later-no-delivery-nor-a-refund is somehow a case involved with the money which path used to pay some recent bills.

But its most likely bullshit, given how much false claims are being thrown around right now. Maybe Amy knows :P

Some Path.net / Tempest ex or current key personel.

Marshall Webb - Swatter, Felon, BGP Hijacks

Zigi - Ex executive of OctoSniff / OctoVPN, which is a service designed to snoop and protect against snooping of IPs in XBOX Live and PSN lobbies. (DDoS purposes)

Chase/cpmk/cpmh - Responsible for most of the L7 filters in Path. Was known for making stuff like ovhnetmon and some website API which attempted to solve tcpdump files into discord webhook compatible cleartext for attack notifications. ("attackalyzer" I think.) Also responsible for developing anti-ddos system for @RoyaleHosting but exited with the code and joined path shortly after, when Stan kicked out a specific colo customer (xb1) who sold dedicated servers for spoofing from Serverius SDC3 via his website darkserve.rs. Chase/cpmk/cpmh was friend with xb1, hence his decision to leave stan hanging alone with the project.

Tyler/TylerW (cant remember exact nick but had robot profile pic in discord) / ovhtoodank - a Sales rep who was kicked after he exposed to fluxcdn owner, that he was also known as ovhtoodank, the fluxcdn owner then posted this fact everywhere for lols and Tyler was removed from the team. ovhtoodank was a nickname in discord which was involved with a lot of ddos related attacks to various providers an also was selling some kind of tool for attacks. Path were aware of this thing, but had to act because it was exposed. It was open secret for a long time.

Leifur - Sales rep. Recently got fucked with his iceland provider by cogent, since his massive spoofing network was caught by cogent and shut down.

Some others too, but there are too little credible evidence about them.

ahahah what the fuck lol. Are those invoices really 1+ year old?!

When its becoming 1-2 months past due you already should know youre fucked and should act ASAP to get funds. You should be able to pay. Time is running.

Payment of 5k is nothing in regards to that

Good that i always pay my invoices lmao.

You think any company is willing to do deep investigation on contractor background, especially in lowend market where pricing is all that matters?

This is true, but lots of them started using them a few years back, isn't it? Furthermore, I am not sure if there are 1:1 alternatives not requiring you to develop own in-house filtering (for example, gameservers).

    Do not forget about Zoom,
Corey Shiratori (formerly Corey Ray Barnhill / August Heart) / [Lulz] Xyrix / RuxPin / Zoom / Internet GodSpeed - Self-confessed pedophile sadist, forced underage girl to watch child pornography, skiddie turned fed, chronic liar (evidence)

He was CTO at Path, then COO, and now is hiding behind fake names in their company structures. Marshal/Chippy covers for him.
Just like Marshal and many of other Path employees, he was LulzSec larper.

He was also the one signing the contract with Cologix
