Please explain how it is an update.
We will have to add a 4 week delay if you cannot explain this, thank you.

    tragic

  • Still waiting for storage VPS in Chicago.

  • No network on server, ticket not replied, no more patience.

Spring sale incoming. But to be honest @hosthatch or @Emil. A little update wouldn't be bad at all. It's not that hard to write a few sentences. still waiting for three out of four servers. 2 tickets waiting for reply.

Probably not the best place to ask, but I'm personally looking if someone is willing to let go out of one of their Hong Kong servers.
Either from this Black Friday sale, or from past ones, or whatever. Even if transfer fee needs to be paid, but then I don't know if I'll be able to achieve that relatively soon, lol.

    But then, who knows?

You'll only get mine from my cold, dead hands. PS: Network and uptime are great, take that!

  • Protip: if your provider doesn't have a network status page with updates, they're NOT for production.

    I agree!

But thankfully mine does, even though I don't use it for production

  • I hope the HH will reply, where is the current progress? Has the VPS server been deployed on December 15? When will the VPS server start deployment on December 30?

I don't think people are pissed by the delay primarily. I think it's the lack of communication that's making it worse.

    Pretty shabby I must say.

  • I absolutely love HostHatch, been a customer for around 2 years and all of my services with them have been excellent and among the top performing VMs that I have. I happily use them for personal prod and will continue to do so. However, the lack of communication is disappointing. Just a quick post would only take a few minutes to write, and would really help ease the minds of those who have had their deployments delayed. If I was a first time customer, I would feel pretty put off just based on this experience. I'll happily continue waiting for my NVMe compute though! Just a question for everyone who's gotten their servers, it looks like the main things being delivered right now are the storage VMs. Has anyone gotten the larger NVMe compute stuff yet?

Not the "larger NVMe compute stuff" but my Black Friday 2021 — Compute #1 in UK was deployed some days ago, on the 31st.

I got one AMS Black Friday 2021 - Compute #1 delivered last month. I think it was a few days after the promised ~ 15th December

Oh, it's mentioned, the UK

  • I know the provider has not revised their schedule, but it could be that the situation is out of their hands. Its very possible that Omicron, the new COVID variant, caused delay to their revised deployment plans. Ideally, an update would have been nice, but continuously changing deployment timelines due to pandemic won't help with desperation of users here. It would just make it worse. Just be patient till your VPS is provisioned.

Like I said earlier, it really isn't about the delays for most. If there were regular updates, you'd see fewer posts complaining about the situation. Literally takes 2 mins for a rep from the company to post a quick update. Its the lack of updates that is bordering non professional behavior here.

  • I mentioned it elsewhere but this feels like a poorly run Kickstarter.

Users/backers tolerate a lot when they’re informed of what’s happening. But they quickly grow frustrated when they’re not in the loop.

I’ve been part of a number of kickstarters that have been delayed both before the pandemic and during. People are far more willing to be accommodating when they’re informed. They’re generally unhappy when a creator doesn’t update them.

A consistent schedule for updates is best. Every Monday for instance. Or every Friday. Or every second Friday. Whatever it is. Be consistent.

HostHatch are basically running their show like some of the worst Kickstarter creators I’ve seen.

  • There are 2 representatives of HostHatch on this forum. @Emil and @hosthatch. Can't either one of you just take a couple of minutes of your precious time to provide updates for your customers?

Yeah and it's not a clever move when your company has been known for it's poor support for a while... Better show that you learned the lesson and are improving, rather than stay silent.

You know people shit on Racknerd and @dustinc because he represents them but quite honestly no one comes close to the amount of interaction he has with the community. I imagine anyone who runs into an issue will be taken care of pretty quickly if they sent him a message or emailed him. None of my primary machines are with Racknerd but I wouldn't hesitate to use them if customer support was a priority. Anytime I've opened a ticket with them its been answered with a solution in around 10-15 mins.

dude who cares. If I had to pick shitty customer support over ip6, I wouldn't. 90% of the folks here with machines dont even use ip6. Its just a novelty right now. Also, they do give you ip6 in a few locations if I am not wrong.

I am just curious to know which location are you waiting on? And whether you have raised a ticket?
