is it just me or does it take forever to install an OS? (Debian 7 x64)? Been almost 2 hours now.
actually slower than several hours ago
Yeah, it takes a long time
Did you try to ping the server? Connect to it via SSH?
why do you want to install windoof on this box lol
@rm_ funny thing is it pingable when OS is being installed.....
Looks like your hdd is broken. I had the same problem with a dedi from online.net. You can try to change to e.g. ubuntu. Should be installed in around 15-20 minutes, if not contact support and let them know.
My point was that even while the web page says "installation is being finished, please wait one hour before connecting", that's not actually true, it has already finished, you can connect and use the server. I.e. waiting about 10 minutes is enough, and not the whole hour as it says.
wow. just ordered one. waiting ...
Is just me? Just installed the machine and bam!

http://serverfault.com/questions/399514/is-this-server-hacked-or-just-login-attempts-see-log
It pings but connection refused.
Nope, lastb shows all the failed login attempts.
Can someone get me a server?. Preferably from India so NEFT would be possible.
nobody will do that as you are not trustworthy
hmmmm. @infected.
hmm @thehray
Oh, why they don't accept debit cards? Anyone got a workaround for paying with debit cards? It gives an error when I try to pay
Does dpinst works? I am uploading an image
@introducial Create a pre-paid credit card in Entropay, it works
I used a visa debit card (UK)
Debit card worked fine for me, just got 2 of these
They have a fair usage policy so they probably control the usage.
There is no guaranteed bandwidth on these 2 EUR servers. For all we know hundreds of them could be connected via a single 1Gbit uplink (although 10Gbit would seem more likely).
As shown in a Video 24 of them are connected to a Switch, hopefully a 10Gbit Switch but i think its a 1Gbit.
Got one, installing Ubuntu..
@thehray use entropay
Do anyone has any detailed tutorial or instructions on how to enable ipv6 to those boxes (Debian or Ubuntu)?
This works https://sulek.fr/index.php?article60/configuration-ipv6-pour-une-dedibox-sous-centos-7
well except it's in French and for CentOS
sudo ifconfig eth1 up
any chance private lan?
Yeah go ask them for a quote on installing private switches and pulling a bunch of private cables just for you all the way throughout their DC.
