    Just FYI I just used the Debi script (just default) to convert an Oracle 9 AMD VM.Standard.E2.1.Micro instance to Debian 12 and it worked beautifully no issues. Oracle 9 couldn't even successfully run yum with the 1G ram on this shape (as expected of course).

    https://github.com/bin456789/reinstall

    have you tried this?

    Hadn't seen that one looks great too! even more options looks like eh

  • Is it broken again? https://myservices-bjo.console.oraclecloud.com/ resolves, but doesn't load.

    If it's just Debian, then you can easily install it with a custom image.

    Received this email back on August 4th, unfortunately the Ampere A1 Free Resources are getting cut in half: https://docs.oracle.com/en-us/iaas/Content/FreeTier/freetier_topic-Always_Free_Resources.htm#compute

    4 OCPU -> 2 OCPU
    24 GB Memory -> 12 GB Memory

    And they starts stopping non reduced servers. And you can't reduce it after stopping, because it disabled, as bot says you need to wait an hour and it will unlocked for reducing, will see...

  • End is near

    Free tier user?

    Ya, it's been good to me for many years, but only really used it for Grafana so no big issue with downgrading it.

  • Switched to PAYG on two accounts before the deadline and when I checked on the 16th, still all resources and the forecast still showed $0.

  • x1archx1arch Member

    Next step silently reduce PAYG resources and then charge you. I don't see another reason to force everyone to switch to PAYG. I lose my A1 flex :( Maybe in one day it will available to reorder 2/12

    You setup billing alerts for when it exceeds $1.
