Lol Hetzner is only getting more expensive my sever from 32 euros 2 years ago they sell it now for 45 euros hahaha what a scam I immediately canceled everything and moved I don't like these kind of practice and then state on the internet that you lower your prices hahaha it's a common thing happening
The prices of the new hardware is good though only now they implant setup fees so that's also a skip for me haha at OVH the RISE-1 cost 56 euros a month without setup fee, I think that's a better deal than Hetzner offers currently.

i had to post this because they're charging me for extra traffic, they told me i already using more than 3TB. where's the proof on your side?
not even summer host are this bad, hiding such detail so you can randomly charge someone for a thing that you can't even verify yourself.
Is anyone else having trouble logging in to Hetzner because of Heray, their security product similar to Cloudflare? It's driving me nuts because I haven't been able to log in since yesterday, no matter which browser I use. I even tried different locations with a VPN, but the problem is still there. @Hetzner_OL, how can I get some help? If I can't log in, I can't create a support ticket.

Yes sometimes it takes minutes to pass Heray or i have to try it a few times with different IPs. Even there news page has the Heray check now, try https://www.hetzner.com/newsroom/
I finally found the problem..... it was the Trufflehog extension. It's an extension I use as bug bounty hunter to find out when web apps leak API keys and such. Perhaps something it does was seen as malicious by Heray.
They do not have ticketing system (perhaps the only Host in the globe). You can simply send them email to their support.

I know Hetzner is replacing motherboards for AX42 etc due to instability since February. I wonder how stable is AX42 with the new motherboards so far? @Hetzner_OL, please share your stats. Would appreciate anybody's data or pointers as well.
Hi @vicaya - To give those who don't know about this some more context: here
We do not publish the results of hardware tests that we run before we launch new products, nor do we publish hardware stats after those products are already in use with customers. I can assure you, though, that our Product Development Team does extensive testing, and they take their jobs very seriously.
If customers report hardware issues, and a pattern seems to develop, we keep an eye on that situation. And if we come to believe that there is a manufacturing issue, we contact the manufacturer. What happens after that changes on a case to case basis depending on the specific circumstances.
If we have any users here on LET who have already gone through the mainboard replacement, feel free to post any info about that experience and how things have been running for you since then. I am sure that the teams who have been working on this would be curious about your feedback. --Katie

IMO, publishing stats would only improve the trustworthiness of the provider.
Would you please waive the rather high setup fees if the hardware is not performing as expected?
Here is a quote from the Hetzner Docs article I posted above: "If you ordered your server after 9 January 2025, you will not be affected."

We strive very hard to keep our monthly prices a low as possible. Over time, customers save significantly because of this. The setup prices are in place to cover the effort of deploying/re-deploying servers, and to encourage customers to keep their servers for more than just a few hours or days. It also helps prevent abuse. Customers with dedicated servers are responsible for all normal sysadmin, including monitoring their servers. If they notice issues, they can always document it and reach out to our support team. In cases where there is a clear hardware issue on our end, our support team will strive to replace the effected hardware as soon as possible.
So, to the best of my knowledge, we do not waive the setup fee unless there is a special sale. (And we announce those.)
@vicaya -- The servers in our Server Auction are available without a setup fee. Currently, so are the AX41-NVMe and the GEX130. If you're in the market for a dedicated server, and you don't want to pay a setup fee, maybe one of these will suit your needs. You could also check on the "Marktplatz" on our customer forum to see if anyone there is willing to transfer you a server without a fee. It's rare, but it happens sometimes. --Katie

I haven't used Hetzner for 7-8 years; it can no longer compete with OVH, and its prices keep rising.
Hi there, I can confirm that the pricing for web hosting plans and domains for them are now separate. So if someone only needs one domain, they only pay for one domain, and if someone needs 10, they pay for 10. The prices will change depending on how much VAT you pay/where you're from and whether you have set your account to euros or dollars.
