I encountered the same problem as you. I contacted them and they rejected my application for security reasons. You can see from the comments above that you're not alone; I've already chosen another vendor.

@Hetzner_OL I have created a new account, and am waiting for the manual review. I have submitted all relevant documents, plus didnt use vpn. I'll ping you with my email I'd, if possible please get it looked at

We typically don't have Black Friday deals for our cloud products. We instead tend to do no-setup-fee sales on our dedicated servers.

Just curious, how do you define who to do KYC?
Hello hetzner team, I have a question, if someone builds a platform-as-a-service on top of your platform, is there some special arrangement preferably which can be done since I know you guys are sort of strict in abuse but are there any cloud providers who are on top of hetzner's infrastructure and if so, can a special arrangement for abuse be arranged / given time for me to handle abuse from my side and not give warnings or anything similar.

I set $dollar first and got kyc after to send passport. Account disabled. As second made account with β¬euro and got no kyc after all.
@JstTan - We do not give out much information about our KYC process on purpose. Why? In the past, we were more transparent about what raised red flags. When a customer's account registration failed and they asked us why, we usually told them. Then, they would fix the issue and get the account. But we had more problems with abuse back then. When we stopped sharing this information, we saw a noticeable drop in abuse.
There are a number of things that can raise red and yellow flags, and they can even be things that are factually correct about you, but that are still unusual. If a customers' account gets rejected, it is often because of multiple factors rather than just one. We have customers from around the world, and even from some countries that are considered risky. --Katie
@whynotlearn - Hi there, we allow resellers to use our products and services. Customers are responsible for preventing any and all abuse on their servers and in responding to our abuse messages in a timely way. The same is true for resellers. If you run your own business using our infrastructure, you need to properly secure your server, vet your customers, and respond to abuse reports. --Katie
