Hey Katie, that's what i meant, if possible to pass the feedback(hopefulyl those taken seriously), as @OhJohn said i feels like EX130 replacing the PX line, and it was a real good product and i want to expand to new machine, the new EX130-S looks like great fit to our needs or even something simillar to it, paying extra 100 euros a month for ax162 just dont justify it, as for some use its just too powerful for some clients usage, and alot of client need server grade hardware but on nice budget, with ECC memory and not desktop grade hardware in alot of uses.
Will really be nice to have EX130 in stock in germany or smillar hardware in Germany.
Thanks!
Storage Box and Storage Share price hike when
Old servers no longer in the current lineup are not listed as price increases, nor are they covered in the 3% server auction increase because they're not from the server auction. I can't wait for Hetzner to increase the price anyway and then to see how much money I'll get from them in the German lawsuit (lawsuits are extremely common in Germany any time anyone does the slightest thing wrong).
April 1st. You did not understood term “across the board”?
Not on the list atm
https://docs.hetzner.com/general/infrastructure-and-availability/price-adjustment/
A slight increase across all servers. It’s interesting how many people switched to other providers after the installation price increase, and how many will switch starting in April. I’ll have to let my zoo go. And yet your AX162 is a good one.
wait hetzner still exists?
It would be helpful if there's hovering images of the teammates who approved 150% setup fees hike, as they point using their finger at the setup fees number with caption "we did that" /s
They just did it too!
100 eur setup fee on a i513500 is genuinly funny though you have to give them credit for that
I remember that i just comment about same topic (setup fee) said they still cheaper, and they want long term customer, and wow Fans give me shit about Hetzner will look into lowendtalk form for just @emgh ? hell no-go out and watch gay porn
Yeah. Not totally unexpected. Auction servers only 3% luckily. Cloud cost 30% is a real bummer. Similar to OVH. Guess in cloud business it is simply fine to churn cheapskates to make room for KI dreamers that don't care ...
I agree but I think they went a bit too hard on old dedis.
With Hetzner you can have a i5 13500 for €47.30 with a €99 setup fee. With OVH you can have a Ryzen 7 9700X for €54.99 with a €54.99 setup fee. Also my understanding is OVH cares way less about bw usage as a bonus.
I think they'll get away with their cloud pricing increases for the most part, they'll only lose the cheapskates as you said. But they're really speedrunning not offering a decent value for dedicated servers and I think that'll hurt. The same businesses using dedicated machines instead of managed cloud products are the same businesses that without too much headache can switch over to OVH.
It's going to be worse than OVH.
Hetzner CPX11
$6.99
2 cpu 2gb ram 40gb ssd 1tb traffic
OVH VPS 1
$4.9
4 cpu 8gb ram 75gb ssd 400mbit unlimited traffic (130tb per month).
Better ddos protection on OVH as well. I don't know what Hetzner is thinking.
That is a weird comparison. The technical specs you chose to compare did not change, so OVH was better in that before anyway.
And seems you did not get the memo of OVH increasing prices as well...
VPS-1 is going to be $7.60 so the relative increase is even higher.
But as said before, neither of them will care. This increase will churn some people for sure, but that makes room for other that willingly pay more - without the need to invest in new hardware right now with high cost. Mid term the raised prices will bring in more cash to keep investing. So technical grow and investment will slow down, while revenue still grows as planned.
It hurts my pockets as well, but anything else than admitting I'd also sell to the highest bidder would be a lie.
so all the outraged "how could they do this" is just hypocrite blabla.
Will @Hetzner_OL reduce prices when the RAM prices return to normal?
That is generally not how capitalist markets and economy work.

The list on Hetzner Docs only includes our current products and product lines. However, all our customers will get an email with the details of their products and their price adjustments (including older product lines). For some, it might take a bit longer to get the email. --Katie
I got bumps from 14% to 23%
The difference isn't worth when OVH suspends all your servers 0.01 milliseconds after card payment fails every month because they use the worst payment processor of all time.
Shit was infuriating
The price hikes are pretty reasonable, and in my opinion, it's unfair to compare Hetzner's current prices to those of OVH, which are yet to inevitably be hiked. What I don't think is acceptable is increasing prices on existing auction servers and older dedicated servers that should have been grandfathered in. Hiking prices on new listings and new orders is fine, but raising them on machines people already have is questionable. Those were purchased at their old prices and aren't affected by the new memory costs. That kind of change absolutely destroys customer trust.
On top of that, recurring price increases are not the right way to handle this. Some of the new 192GB RAM configs (which have been detatched from upgrades) are running around £300/mo, which is steep. Setup fees would be a far better approach. Memory prices are inevitably going to come back down, and when they do, users shouldn't be stuck footing an inflated monthly bill. Setup fees also reduce risk for Hetzner themselves, since they recoup the hardware cost upfront rather than betting on long-term retention at higher rates.
Now, hardware replacements, especially RAM, are almost inevitable, and price adjustments around that are understandable. But at that point, just bill the user for the replacement or force them to cancel. Raising recurring costs across the board just seems money-hungry, since they could be making more money on those slots with new customers anyway. It's fair on paper, but I, like many others, have had my trust in Hetzner shaken.
I personally haven't had an issue with this, but I used paypal with them for over 10 years.
Looked up the OVH planned price increases, OVH will either be slightly higher to lower with much better specs.
OVH 1 = 7.6 Hetzner equivalent = 6.99
OVH 2 = 11.75 Hetzner equivalent = 13.99
Told you guys, already cancelled my service 4 price hikes ago. You should all cancel your servers and go play outside.
I hope this leads Hetzner to get into the RAM manufacturing business.
First, it is not price adjustment, it is price increase. Let's use the correct words here.
Second, the email does NOT include the details of products such as the IP or the server name. It just says "server auction", and if you have thousands of server auction products, you just don't know the new increased price for each one.
Third, according to PAngV, you are obligated to send a full product-price list BEFORE the surprise of the April's invoice.
Last but not least, I have lost counting of your email surprises and price increases the last few years, which leads us to the decision to cancel some (if not all) of our servers with you.
mate, PAngV is only applicable to end customers and you know it. you are a business, so stop whining, they don't need to tell you sh*t.
this is the only right decision if you think 3% on auction servers is too much of an increase.
Hetzner will happily let you go and there will be enough other clients to pick up on these boxes. lot of the somewhat better auction servers sold by 10-20% more than before in the last weeks already, so the demand definitely is there. if you cancel your servers Hetzner will probably get even more than just the 3% out of it afterwards. maybe you get a "thank you" card for leaving.
We try to reach the @Hetzner_OL billing department since 2 month, we also opened support tickets, nothing. No response.
Could you please send me a DM and give me your support ticket number? I will ask a colleague to check on it for you. --Katie
Sent, thank you!
its very good - do you need toturial for technology or ...?
