Why? Do you plan some "special military operation" in Finland? Most likely to free them from themself, right?

@jsg said: allowed to hope and wet dream of Russia being afraid of impotent nato.

You're right, The Great Russia has nothing to fear as long they are supplied by Iran with those advanced drones they rely upon so much.

@Mumbly he really called the Russian invasion of Ukraine saving them (due to their westernization)

And in the same actual post, threatened Finland that Russia may now have to attack (due to its westernization)

So unfair that when Ukraine becomes too entangled with the west, they get to have free help of their friend Russia, but when Finland does the same, they get a marker on them!!

Something really dosen't make sense, you usually don't have to threaten with help

Maybe Russia can help other countries all the way until they successfully rebuild the empire (they help other countries so much that they give themselves away as a way to thank Russia)

    I did not threaten anyone.

What a pile of BS! It wasn't about "becoming too entangled with the west" but about thousands and thousands of Russians, who had the bad luck to suddenly find themselves in ukraine when the USSR fell apart, being KILLED -and- after the ukro-Nazis further growing and continuing to kill native Russians in the east and south of the country -and- after putsching the properly elected and legitimate (and mildly pro-russian) president.
The final straw was when ukraine wanted to join nato.

No major military power would tolerate a neighbouring country joining an enemy alliance, especially not the USA, if say, Mexico joined Russia and China militarily and allowing russian and chinese military bases just a few tens of miles from the border.

Whatever, you are unlikely to look in a fair and justifiable way towards Russia and I'm very unlikely to agree with your view on that matter. But somehow not only can you not tolerate the word "Russia" coming up in any context without vitriol, but you also often insult others with views differing from your (e.g. "vatnik").

We'll see the outcome. To me it's clear that Russia will win, to you the contrary seems to be evident - yet I stayed polite with you, don't insult you, I simply think "We'll see how it ends and who is right".

This thread is mainly about high energy prices in Finland. I did not judge the western sanctions, I merely said that it's nonsensical to attack Russia with (meant to be) severe sanctions and to openly declare that Europe must and will not buy hydrocarbons and energy from Russia and - at the same time - blaming Russia for not delivering hydrocarbons and energy and, as a consequence, drastically rising energy prices.

    I think that's quite normal behaviour for Russia- and/or Putin-hating Europeans ...

You see, ukraine was split along a certain line into a pro-western camp and a pro-russian one. And split quite evenly, so your premise that most ukrainians are happy with and supportive of the current regime is highly questionable. Besides the Russians are not saying that they bomb ukraine for its own good. They are doing it - and saying so - that they are there to liberate those regions which have been and are most terrorized by the ukro-Nazis.

I'd btw perfectly well understand if the US-Americans would do something similar if say, the french speaking Canadians terrorized and killed english speaking Canadians.

Kindly note that I yet again, for the third time, treated you as a mature and intelligent person, stayed on topic (side-topic, not imposed by me) and did not insult you. Please, do not prove me wrong again.

    I'm outta here

@jenkki tag me once you're actually willing to tell us how poor you are, refusing to give up that very fact dosen't make you any richer, I promise you

@jsg I honestly don't care, your walls of texts doesn't intrigue me to understand your position on how being bombed can be help, it's so pathetic that anyone actually reading that first have to be as miserable as that take, which I bet isn't too many

  • jsgjsg Member, Resident Benchmarker

    @emgh

    Thanks for making me laugh.

Btw, the value of @jenkki or his opinion is not determind by his being rich or not. In fact he might actually be richer than you in terms of intellect and maturity. Have a nice weekend.

  • @emgh said: you're actually willing to tell us how poor you are

I'm rich, there's no point in talking about poor or anything.

And the fact that you are being ripped off and you pass it off as the wealth of the nation is well understood. Don't lie and everything will be fine.

There's are those two things called quality of life index by country and life expectancy by country.

Mumbly, friendly speaking, if you believe in this staff you are an imbecille. And I mean it friendly. Now I know I have your attention, so focus :)

The indexes aren't per se propaganda, their selective publicization or suppression in the media can be propaganda. The constituents of such indexes are arbitrarily picked among attributes congenial or contrarian to the western canons and are arbitrarily weighted for the purpose of producing an output that fits an expectation. The weights are "fine tuned" in fact, some might be "17% to freedom of the press" or "8.5% to satisfaction toward the government". There is no science behind any of this, the attributes and the numbers are picked at leisure. The purpose of an index is to formally express an opinion, and that's fine, but it becomes propaganda once it is picked by the media and is falsely called an objective truth or science.

You, my friend are an imbecille (and I mean it in a friendly way) :D
we're wondering into the territory of conspiracy now. You think every country just decide they'll accept the number given on that list without blowing the whistle on all the "fine tuning" that's done? come on man!

They keep trying to convince me that paying 0.06 per kilowatt in Russia is a sign of poverty and paying 1.95 in Finland is a sign of wealth. That is, many times more is better than many times less. Apparently you have some absurd mathematics next to the propaganda that everything is bad in the neighboring country.

In my opinion, the richer a country is, the less they charge its citizens. In Soviet times, the fees were symbolic and there were no meters except for electric meters. Everyone was happy.

@Maounique I think you're missing a Vatnik back there. Please come drag him back.

What can be said. Our congratulations to the Finnish citizens with their prices per kilowatt. Keep it up and consider yourselves super rich.

    We'll stay in our poverty.

What you're actually missing is that your $0.06 cents per kw is only possible because of your shitty currency. It was $0.11 cents in 2021 (565 Rub/100kw) to 615 Rub now.
rubble went from $1=58 rub to $1= 100 rub. Profit!

Now post how much a car/computer/home cost in rub 2021 and how much it cost now.
