  • @jar I run a book publishing business. The normal use case for emails is just general use: welcoming client, send quotations/invoices/offers etc however on occassions such as black friday/4th of July, we run promotional deals and we send emails to our old clients and prospects - so technically marketing email. Is that something that would be allowed on your platform?

I really want to switch but don't want to loose this option to market.

You’d use us for the rest but use Amazon SES for the marketing, for pennies.

I am not that technical when it comes to this but is it possible to use the same domain with you and Amazon SES?

You could always use a subdomain.

Yeah you just add both to SPF, and each has their own DKIM selector. You can also just use a subdomain with SES, probably easier.

Here are some of the things we offer:

    • Plus addressing

Does anyone using this know what the spell is to switch it on, or what obstacles might trip it up?

It doesn't work for me out of the box using a pre-existing folder after the plus (D.A. on wednesday server). Tried a subfolder in both IMAP root and under Inbox.

Not planning to use it widely but I'm migrating from MXRoute cPanel and thought it might help directly segregating mailing lists and newsletters. No biggie can use filters, but just wondered...

Edit: tests are delivered, just always to the Inbox

  • I love @jar and I love mxroute. I just have a bit of an ocd with the random usernames generated for DA panels lol. I wish we could pick or change our usernames. Otherwise 10/10.

Gonna keep this going until we run out of stock

How much stock is available? This info might increase your sales due to fear of missing out.

Are all these plans on the same server (Wednesday)?

    I don't think so: https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/comment/3781413/#Comment_3781413
On the other hand I haven't seen provisionings on other servers so far.

Rounding up/down to make the numbers pretty:

450 Small (sounds like a lot but they're selling really fast), 150 Medium, 125 Large, 185 Lifetime 5G. Sold 2 small packages while writing this.

Provisioning is pretty spread out right now for these.

My operation for collecting blackmail against influential people is almost complete. MXroute is home to several major, well known corporations as well as many politicians all of the way across the spectrum. I will now submit my bid to run as president of the United States. All who oppose me will be crushed by their own dick pics and digital receipts from hookers.

I made that up but damn that'd be a good villain. Hit me up @Netflix for the rights.

You might have a surprise in people voting not with you, but with the ones in the dick pics, for their dicks and for their openness. I would absolutely vote for someone who goes to escorts and is being honest about it. After all, prostitution is the oldest job in the world, therefore being honest about it and actually being a human is something that matters, especially nowadays.

I don't like all these politicians in expensive suits, hiding behind closed doors and waging wars that nobody wants. Having their private pictures is irrelevant since they are dishonest with themselves anyway.

I got provisioned on the "Tuesday" server. All set up and emails migrated from Eagle (2018 promo), with special thanks to @Konbu for the IMAPSync Migration instructions https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/comment/3770392/#Comment_3770392

I do notice a much longer delay in navigating and loading folder contents on Tuesday than on Eagle though.

Can’t think of a reason. Similar network, hardware, and activity.

No idea either. Sometimes clicking on a folder (Roundcube, nothing fancy) seems to do nothing and I just see a "Loading" spinner in the lower right corner for several seconds. Most times it's fine, but still seems a bit slower.

One other strange issue that I got resolved: DKIM verification was failing until I disabled/re-enabled DKIM in DirectAdmin to generate a new key pair and updated DNS records with the new public key. Had to do that for each domain.

So there’s this threat actor or series of threat actors, perhaps even just common software shared deep in the bowels of the internet. The theme is that the threat actor(s) test compromised SMTP credentials by sending emails to themselves with those credentials, with subjects like this:

    smtpserver,port,username,password

My theory being that it originates as a virus that pulls SMTP credentials from Outlook on infected customer systems. Nothing new, same pattern has been occurring for years. I watch for it, catch it, lock down and notify users who were hit by it. You know, routine security admin stuff. The key is I demand that they tell me their plans to resolve the situation, because far too many users previously decided they actually didn’t give a shit and they weren’t changing their passwords, the spam sent from their account later just isn’t their problem.

Highlight of my week: Customer lies to me about their password security, swears the account isn’t compromised. I’m looking right there at their password in plain text (as part of the email subject) because the threat actor successfully used their SMTP credentials. Yet, they would still lie.

    Amazing, truly amazing.
