What can we say.... LET is crazy for MXRoute. They were waiting like a predator for a new MXRoute offer to appear.
"It wasn't me" - Shaggy
Lots of people will have this on their minds for a while
I don’t know what that error means if it’s not just poorly worded and meaning “you can’t use THIS coupon code.”
Sorry yea, it was supposed to say
This coupon cannot be applied to your order. That was the initial error and then it later changed toYou cannot use coupon codes now, please contact support to apply discount to your orderafter I tried it a bunch of times.Looks to me like a rate limitation. After 5x or so within a minute trying to redeem a coupon then this message pops up. Usual behavior of hostbill I think, have seen something similar at clouvider.
What was the final price with that coupon for the lifetime plan?
Makes sense, thanks.
Remember it's never about the final decision, it's about the time we spent together both holding onto the money.. for as painfully long as possible.
Just another Friday night. sigh
After years of speculation I am finally on the bandwagon. As of today a customer of mxroute
I migrated to MXroute towards the beginning of the year after Gandi initially announced the discontinuation of their free email service for domains hosted there. I'm sure many can relate when trying weigh the pros and cons of various providers when having to switch.
Service has been excellent since.
Still several months left on the spring promo I had originally opted for, and now I've gotten an even better deal with the recent BF deal. Mail and filters migrated over.
Thanks @jar!
@jar Currently on a DACPANELTRANSITION plan that shows I have unlimited disk usage when it's a 10GB package. Thinking of getting one of these, but wanted to ask what would happen if I went over 10GB on my current plan?
It’s likely that disk quota isn’t working and I just don’t want to reboot to fix it because no one new gets provisioned on that box (London I think?). Exceeding the disk limit would probably do nothing until I eventually fixed it.
Thank you! Last question, if I get one of these plans, could I upgrade to a higher one at any time, honouring the cost here, or would it be the in-market price?
best email provider ever to exist.
You'd be able to upgrade to the normal plans at their normal prices. Specifically you can move between Small, Medium, and Large as they're listed on the front page of mxroute.com. Hopefully that's clear, given that I also named these promos by those names.
I don’t know if you saw my mention @risharde because I added it in an edit, but there are several people in this thread who would find your software to answer their questions. I don’t know if you have time to read through and reply to them, but if you do I certainly would call it mutually beneficial.
Same here with the unlimited/unknown disk space (DACPANELTRANSITION-Eagle) on a plan I've had since 2018.
Tempted to switch to the small promo 10GB/$15-triennially deal. I'd be interested in a 100GB/$30-triennial deal from a while back even though I don't need it, but seems that might not be making a re-appearance anytime soon.
I just wonder if there is a different Cyber Monday deal as in previous years.
Good old MXroute. Haven't had any issues, though it's basically been idling. The thought of switching is a bit of a pain because I've forgotten what I did to set everything up in the first place haha Gotta love it when things just work and there's no need to fiddle with it.
@jar My apologies but I did not see/receive a notification. Thanks, I'd love to answer questions but I've made a near 24 hour shift and I need some mental rest - let me see what I can do in the new few minutes if I can find those questions to be answered.
@jar was kind enough to tag me on this thread - thanks! - and it took me some time to read it through - the answer: if you want to move emails our software (RCLOUDSYSTEMS EmailBackup and EmailSync) can copy emails from one account to another. Currently we have a BF sale ($5 per year and a flash sale happening now for $3.99 per year - details here). It gives you both EmailBackup and EmailSync plus 4 bonus apps.
EmailBackup can save your emails to the server it's hosted on (or a local docker instance) and also restore those emails to a new account - it does so per mailbox eg per INBOX, per Sent Items and so on. Decent web user interface for folks who don't want to deal with the command line / terminal and we have a single line docker command that gets you up and running without webhosting (also available for EmailSync).
@codelock you may be interested in this at some point? For migrating emailsync command line has a very neat batch delay feature which makes it a bit more reliable than the web interface from my testing but both are included.
EmailSync can achieve a copy for you but doesn't save emails locally before restoring - so it will copy whatever is in your INBOX for example to your new account INBOX. EmailSync has a checkbox on the UI to copy all your mailboxes ie INBOX, SENT etc without having to choose each mailbox.
BOTH EmailSync and EmailBackup have the ability to mass delete mailboxes manually after a transfer but please read the important tip below.
@seoboy You can migrate emails with either of the above if you are interested - I couldn't tell from your initial post.
@bustersg @webmasteroffers You can use either EmailSync or EmailBackup to do migrations if you still need to migrate!
@Don_Keedic Just to confirm our software can't do this likely because this is dependent on the hosting environment and I'm not aware of the IMAP protocol being able to do this. Sorry!
FINAL AND IMPORTANT TIP: While EmailBackup and EmailSync does migrations - never and I mean never delete your mailboxes without testing a backup (if using EmailBackup) or checking that the account you migrated to has all your emails.
It's late but if you have any questions, tag me and I'll try to answer them if I missed any!
I think you may have accidentally tagged me instead of the person you were trying to tag.
Oh my, so sorry!
EDIT: I think you were asking about forwarders so I wanted to be clear that unfortunately EmailBackup and EmailSync doesn't do this since there isn't as far as I am aware a to do this with the IMAP protocol.
Oh man you're thorough! Good on you!
Yeah no worries on that. I had forgotten that my Black Friday deal from 2019 was still an awesome deal and I'm going to be using this new package for projects, so no need to transfer those forwarders.
Really do appreciate you looking into that though!!! I'll be sure to let you know how my sync and/or migration goes when I get there!
Thanks again @risharde !
I have used your service for a long time again and I come from China. I understand that you are not accepting new orders, but please don't cut the existing services, please...
I totally can't understand people who request refunds in such a dirty way while your service is like couple dollars a year, like nothing.
And to tell you the truth, you can't actually ban Chinese users because they can use multiple weird methods to pretend they come from other countries...
Dang!
I have been using MXroute since 2021 to handle my email for my secondary domain. Exactly last week November 18, I renewed my MXroute since I was afraid I missed my renewal date on Nov 27. So the price was still 10 USD for 10 GB. That is how high I valued MXroute.
Compared to my main email address, MXroute is more reliable for sending emails, but the only problem is that I am not moving my main domain because my family is also using it. Some of them have a mailbox of more than 1 GB
Is it possible for me to change the size to 25 GB and I will pay the price difference for 25 GB storage?
So I don't need to move the box that is already there and get more space and years.
If it is possible, please let me know.
Hi @jar, I want to purchase MXRoute for my WordPress SMTP notifications. Is that allowed?
Absolutely
You can always upgrade to our regular plans, but we don’t do upgrades into promotions.
Haven't seen these offers mentioned in LowEndBox yet.
