It's not about appearance. It's about potential customers being able - or not - to read what you offer and at which conditions. "Can't see it -> don't buy".

so I have no services left with Nexusbyte but I do have $120 credit with them, what’s the best option? Buy a domain for 10 years and transfer it out?

when I tried to do something similar only one year was processed (the two additional years I added were not pushed to Namesilo despite my account having the credit deducted). Currently going through the waiting game as per Namesilo's processes to try and get the domain transferred. I've given up on NB replying.

Just going to write it off as experience.

:( same here... got a domain there but the button of getting the auth code has gone.

@Jord Is there anyway you can help out? Many thanks.

Your domain should be safe, the registry will take care of the domain.
You should get a email from them, but surely it won't hurt sending them one.

    Most likely not, previous quote:

    Hi all,

Still going through their process listed at https://www.namesilo.com/support/v2/articles/policies/reseller-complaints - I'm at step 4 at the moment after they've attempted to make contact and wait 24 hours. I've forwarded my receipt of the most recent renewal of my domain to them and am waiting a response. I'll report back if anything changes... a lot of it is just waiting for timeouts after Namesilo and myself try and make contact.. Now that NB's mail server seems to be bouncing the whois protection contact email, things may be a little quicker.

I'll report back as I continue to follow the bouncing ball! :) My advice is this point is to go through your records and find your receipts for the most recent renewal of your domain and/or when you purchased it. I'm not sure if NB's client portal is available at the moment however if so, download it if you can!

Why has no one considered that @seriesn may have passed? It was known that he was in poor health (despite this, accidents can still happen to anyone...) and I'm not sure why people didn't see this is a possible risk for their services as it was a one man shop as far as I know.

He was in "poor health" when he took a selfie with two friends. Don't be so gullible.

Just because he took a selfie with 2 people, doesn't mean he didn't have any underlying problems (whether it be health, family, etc). There could be something that we just didn't know about or something more underlying. Severe medical conditions don't always mean that you can't stand, walk, or talk to people/friends. For all we know, this could've been his last few weeks to live. We don't know.

To be quite frank, NexusBytes was probably losing money for a bit while clients were cancelling when he first disappeared. If he really wanted to run away with the money, I don't think he would've kept NexusBytes running until now. Given that no one is able to reach him and he's showing no signs of life on pretty much every social media, there's a half decent chance that it's a health issue.

It's also probably way more economical to sell NexusBytes, I'm sure some hosts here would be willing to pay thousands (or even tens of thousands) and would also be able to cover all the remaining node bills for the month, there's literally no reason not to sell it and deadpool instead if he wanted this to happen.

Exit scam is not deadpool. He still accepts new orders. But let's be concerned with his health while he is laughing.

People, clients of nexai, do you fully understand that you are a victim here, not businessman? You are not responsible for that man, you paid money, hosted data, trusted by buying domains. Wake up and react properly to current situation.

You are exit scam victim. Reacting negatively in negative situation is normal, not a bad thing.

I concede this isn't a standard deadpool, it has elements of exit scam also because he's taking orders and payments (more importantly) still - unlike Boom to his defense.

He is taking new orders, not canceling current pp subs. Can you cover this story by mental health agenda?

Even if we assume the worst, every retailer should ensure that the company can be brought to a clean conclusion in any case.

I am alone too, but should I pass away there would be someone who technically has any access, as well as a good friend who can access PP and my company bank. So it is guaranteed that customers are informed about a shutdown in EVERY case early and not suddenly stand there without a server.

@Jord has tried but his hands are tied due to limitations of his system access. As for emailing Nexusbytes, it's pretty much impossible so open a NB ticket and once opened you can add a cc: email to the actual ticket, I added Namesilo support's address so at least they can see the request is legit.

I want to escalate this as a proper scam. Or is it normal to support exit scammers and just ignore the hard fact that major part of clientele will loose data and money due these events?

    Guess who else does this?
    https://incognet.io/anonymous-domains

    Who owns the domain name?

@MannDude registration service is similar to other anonymous domain registration services, in which we are more or less acting as a 3rd party proxy between the domain registar and you.
As such, we “technically” own the domain.
You control the nameservers, and you’re free to transfer it to another registar as well where you will use your information to take control over it.
Part of the domain ordering process with us is that our company name, address, and other contact information is used when placing the order with the registar.
Your information is never given to them, hence, privacy.

Nja.la does this. It is double edge sword - it is "anonymous" but also cares the burden of liability. If domain owner makes some iffy site with "anonymous" domain, than proxy would be the first to blame. Very risky business with little to gain.

Wondering, how many domains does nexai registered...
