@hosthatch can you look at Ticket #509992
I'll be happy to pay multi-years in advance if my storage can be doubled.

    Many thanks

Doubled storage? Dafuq is wrong with you?

This is why we can't have nice things.

  • I had bought Amsterdam 1 TB storage server on December 1 and it was delivered like 7~8 days later, I had forgot to check email so didn't post it before.

Seems very responsive and good for the price. I am quite happy that I got it. Thanks.

  • Just received one in HK but seem I have to create a ticket to clarify billing date

    Thanked by 1satoshiscave
  • Edited: They said billing date will be corrected in next few weeks. All VM stats seem fine. I will use it for personal VPN so I'm happy with this deal.

  • @hosthatch is the 2TB Storage vps deal over. Wanted to pay trienially but the price is showing up as 145$ instead of 110$

I'm so thankful for the deal extension. I just snatched a compute VPS in Amsterdam, hoping to play with it soon.

Which one did you buy? I bought the AMD version, but wonder if the Intel would have been just as good. :)

It's the AMD one too because it outperforms the legacy E5 ones.

Please develop why? In terms of what use case and performance?

i noticed that there was a lower percentage of CPU available for these AMD compute plans vs Intel E5.

I opted for an Intel E5 myself, it got some more CPU and also double the RAM, always thought Xeon was the cream.

i am also waiting for this location storage server since 28th Nov, says being built or waiting for payment. I did file a ticket the same day because I thought payment was wrong or something,
and was told payment is fine all done, just to wait.

    Is server working ok?

The NVMe offers had doubled storage as part of the description... just sayin'

Prejudice is strong in this one.

So what part of OP made it seem like a ticket asking for special deal was ok?

I thought the offers were clear and he wasn't seeking clarification but special deal beyond the ridiculous deal already.

    Tl;dr fucking unnecessary tickets.

What would be the prejudice in this case? Entitled people?

It was clear he wasn't asking in ticket for clarification. He would have gotten immediate response in this thread if he did. Are you seriously not seeing the irony in your response?

You may also double check use of "rambling" if my two line post was lengthy or confusing in itself.

    From OP:

Can I change my server with the X offer?
Unfortunately no. All sales are final, and we cannot offer any changes to them.

yes true. I meant grumbling. probably bitching is an even better fit.

The Xeons HostHatch use on their older servers are close to 10 years old now (e.g. the E5-2680 v2 and E5-2690 v2). They're Ivy Bridge processors, from the same generation as Intel's 3rd gen Core i3/i5/i7 (e.g. the i5-3470).

The AMDs are far newer, faster (even with a lower clock speed), more power efficient, support newer features, etc. A lot has changed in ~10 years.
