Almost 24 hours and still waiting for mine to be provisioned. Probably should not have paid via paypal. Not sure if opening a ticket for VAT to be removed also affected this as well.

An additional processing time is required. It is usually around 48 hours. Our customer support team may contact you.

Yes I'm aware of that but as @Maounique mentioned a number of "new customers" have got theirs delivered. Hoping to get it soon!

Damn bro, mine is equipped with some rusty garbage disk that struggles to reach 1g/s. Feel like a rip off now

  • Which OVH location is better for Asia connectivity (other than SG/AU)?

KS-LE-1 has been down since I bought it. They've been intervening since last night, no luck yet. What could be going on?

Well yeah, but damn, this server can't handle my HIGH!

    post-up sleep 5; /sbin/ip -6 route add 2001:41d0:x:xxff:ff:ff:ff:ff dev vmbr0
    post-up sleep 5; /sbin/ip -6 route add default via 2001:41d0:x:xxff:ff:ff:ff:ff
    pre-down /sbin/ip -6 route del default via 2001:41d0:x:xxff:ff:ff:ff:ff
    pre-down /sbin/ip -6 route del 2001:41d0:x:xxff:ff:ff:ff:ff dev vmbr0

I might be being a bit thick here, but I'm not sure why you're creating vmbr0 rather than just using eno1. Is this just because of proxmox default config?

  • Sorry if this a little off topic, but does anybody know how to add additional IPv6 without a reverse DNS. I don't seem to be able to add them without it.

You can add as many IPv6s as you want. I think you get a /56, if not, definitely a /64. Just create one for yourself in your ipv6 block, and then add it to an interface in your OS.

Reverse is added via their control panel I think, which you can skip.

For example, ip address add 1:2:3:4:5:6:7:8/64 dev eth0

I was been really daft. I was trying to add via the control panel then adding to the server when I could just set it up directly on the server. Its been a very long day.
    Thanks for the help!

  • Just had my RAM & Motherboard swapped.
My KS-LE-1 was delivered without ECC, maybe somebody messed up the specifications ;)

Took 2 requests via API, tech didn't believe it at first until I sent the OVH website link.

    Worth a check 👍

My KS-LE-1 was delivered without ECC, maybe somebody messed up the specifications ;)

Took 2 requests via API, tech didn't believe it at first until I sent the OVH website link.

    Worth a check 👍

I'm surprised they did that, regret not buying now after the non-ECC discovery on page 1

Where? The World Black Friday page listing doesn't say ECC. Only this LET post says ECC for .ie link.

I have only two ECC DIMMS out of 4.

    Location you mean? In France.

But for me it says even on my portal that its supposed to be ECC

hi, can you tell me how to check for ECC ram status ?

Looks like 2 of my DIMMS are ECC and 2 are not. What is going on here?

None of your DIMMs support ECC (all the same model).
You're actually looking for "Total width"

    • 64 = Non-ECC
    • 72 = ECC

    • It is also worth searching the exact Part number to verify.

    Get that swapped :sunglasses:

    LOL :D

Inb4 soft raid with SSD and HDD...

TBH I don't really care, my usage scenarios don't involve anything where lives hang in the balance and dedi/vps prices are so low I can easily afford redundancy.

Sure, mixing ECC with regular is beyond the pale, but we all love OVH for their quirks and if you run life or death (or at least very costly in case of failure) stuff on a KS, then the fault lies elsewhere.

    Agreed!
If my endeavour went anything beyond a quick ticket I wouldn't care.

Maybe it's the deal hunting excitement😂
