Your eggs are all over the place but they're from the same supplier :(

I mean big blue chip companies have their eggs with AWS and.... we all know AWS never goes down.... :D

You forgot to add double quotes on never down part. :D

  • Hello,

Please accept my sincere apologies for any inconvenience -- it is difficult to give an ETA since our upstream provider seems to be unable to resolve the issue without upper management, and their management team appears to be unavailable until business hours tomorrow.

    Thank you for your patience.

Their latest reply, so indeed a billing issue.

Given that MaxKVM apparently did not pay his bills and Hivelocity did a bada bang bum your network gone, so is your cloud, scammed you got, amen.

  • zedzed Member

yea needing upper management seems like a "lets arrange a payment plan" situation, oops..

    @Hivelocity can you comment?

I’m not upper management, I will only just say that it’s not a technical problem with or at Hivelocity, or any of our data centers.

I don’t speak in any official capacity on behalf of Hive other than the status of our infrastructure.

MaxKVM will have to provide an answer.

@Catixs said: Hivelocity won't be the issue, they have been doing business for almost 20 years.

Hive is not the issue. If MKVM's bills were overdue or contract terms broken, it is reasonable to assume Hive shut down MKVM entirely from all their locations at the same time. Null routed their IPs, or whatever.

Generally, hivelocity is pretty flex on their bills. I had one bill late for almost 15 days, then made payment without late fee. Max nah.

I’ve used many hosts, resellers, and direct dc server hosts and they usually turn my stuff off the morning it’s due. Hive’s billing is oddly flexible. Maybe a result of how many humans are involved in providing our billing support directly.

Probably better to make sure a person’s or company’s critical infrastructure doesn’t go down just because they’re waiting for a card replacement, etc.

  • it might be a sign to make backup once it "gets online" and change provider ✌️😬

But I don't think they will entertain any refund request. They might add unused amount as account credit.

acceptable, but considering the (long time no) response, account credit as compensation may be a luxury expectation.

  • last time I bought two VPS from hostdoc.co.uk and they run away without refund. this time happens with maxkvm?

true, i guess that's the included risk when purchasing. not that i have vps with them. but oh well hopefully, their services will be back online.

thanks for re-confirming. I too got same reply from my Hive rep.
so it seems MaxKVM has done something terribly wrong. Abuse or not paying invoices.

@H84Gabor said: I've got 5 servers on 4 different location. All gone lol This is just bad

    .

@miu said: Bad. How longer this outage will be (now really long and very bad), so harder will be recover ever from this shit for this provider. if there really is effort continue and not only about delaying time. imo in such a case, silence (instead keeping customer updated) is very bad way what leads only to their another detriment (ppl now loss faith in it, begin start disputes, migrate away etc...) With each another hour will be still harder continue and pay fee for servers when customers are outgoing away, bad loop, ever thinner ice

But now its time to say good-bye to MaxKVM and moving my backups to Ramnode cloud, and of-course at Racknerd in nearby locations. Even will try to grab BuyVM Lux in next month.

nopes, not yet. But refugee thread may start Monday night or Tuesday if MaxKVM can't put their ALL servers in ALL locations UP.

There’s really no point in checking since all their IPs are blocked/unannounced, and if it was anything technical-related, it would’ve been solved/fixed ages ago.

This. It's a deadpool today folks. Restore your backups to a new VPS immediately and don't look back.

I mean I’m not trying to say they’ve deadpooled or they’re deadpooling but if they said this requires HVC’s higher management’s attention, then it is what it is and people will just have to wait for further updates during business hours

Yeah, but to me it looks like a deadpool because they have disappeared, their IPs are in the abyss and their customers are left with their pants around their ankles.

Personally, I think MaxKVM is a shady person, a really bad communicator and a provider I've had on my no-go list since I noticed them.

    “Hello,

There are no resources available in the global network.

In addition (and more importantly), due to the lack of common sense required to ask this question, you have been deemed unqualified to manage a BGP session on our platform.

The BGP session (AS399686 - Semiband LLC dba MaxKVM) will not be renewed and has been set to terminate on 4/23.

Please find another upstream. Your billing account here is now permanently closed.

That doesn't seem normal. Especially hive doesn't have their team in SG, they partnered with limelight.

The bill might already be late for a long time and hive had to shut down all of the maxkvm servers.
