@VirMach if we have private networking "per location is fine" then would be the best thing happens next.
Thanks for the free bump. If you ever reach your current bandwidth limit quote this message of mine and let me know and I'll consider it.
Problem would be people that try to use it as a replacement for RAID 10 NVMe. A lot of those people exist.
Didn't read that...
Well, only can hope my box deploy in JP at the end... just need some luck
I won't even begin thinking about that until all the spins in the world have been spun, all the Ryzens have been risen and all IP has been v6'd.
well, some people rush when buying, so don't read all the conditions, btw, which package did you buy?
The 500GB, don't need too much in asia.
Think of it this way, all that's standing between you and above 250GB deployment in Japan is 280 560 humans in the entire world of 8~ billion ordering the 250GB in Japan on probably the best deal ever posted for 250GB of storage in Japan.
If these plans go that fast in Japan I'll considering sending over a second storage node.
I haven't read the config before the purchase. But are you absurd? God, 6TB for JAPAN.
It's a gamble that majority will not even reach half of the limit.
What if most of the folks do reach that limit?
I'm expecting the usage levels to be in line with current storage bandwidth usage levels. If a lot of people specifically get it for the bandwidth and use it to the brim, then we'll probably just pour more money into it.
We've already purchased more bandwidth than required in Japan. It's double all other locations' commit right now. It's over half the total cost of colocation here.
(edit) I don't want to give too much information away and hopefully I'm not when I say this, but we're paying about 6 times more for the same quantity of bandwidth in any other location and doing 2x commit so that's 12 times more than other locations. When I say I don't want to give away too much information it's out of respect for the providers, I'm sure they do not want our pricing publicly disclosed.
yes, $20 for 250Gb and Ryzen 5950X cpu is a very good price.
if i compare it with other providers that use intel xeon
I hope these links will help
with Early Bird Code:
with non Early Bird Code:
Ordered a 500G in JP before you edited the storage offer
what will happen to my order?
That's why I say fuck it, and other one more box.
And any future plan for mixed storage, such as 35GB NVME + 500GB HDD?
What did I edit? Are you talking about the non-guaranteed in Japan?
Japan has a high likelihood of allowing Gen4 NVMe storage to be requested at no additional cost. Although I can't do it for everyone and please do not create a ticket, it'll be a button if it is done.
And it won't be 35GB and it won't be offered for under 1TB most likely. It'll be 15GB for 1TB. I'll see what I can do though if we do that, maybe I can fit in more.
(edit) I also want to stress it'll be non-RAID, and not guaranteed, and can be taken away at any moment (with notice, but you should probably keep a backup.)
What's the ISP for Los Angeles storage plan? If it is shitty ColoCrossing, I need refund...
Psychz. We may consider Inap/Dedipath later as we do need more space.
Inap/Dedipath will add more re-selling value
And Psychz is also okay. It reminds me the old days with HostUS btw
oh i see
you mentioned this later (or edited? idk)
"upgrade later but only for the regular prices, as in $35/YR for 500GB, $70 a year for 1TB, etc."
i ordered a jp 500G with early-bird code. just wanna know what will happen and what I'm allowed to do
8GB RAM
150GB NVMe
4 vCore Ryzen CPU
8TB @ 1Gbps Bandwidth
1x IPv4 Address
Waiting for this
Don't lose hope so fast, there's still chance.
Update on Amsterdam - I'll send this out tomorrow. I realized it will be over the weekend in any case so it's just one extra day instead of 2-3 extra days versus shipping it out today. This will allow time for the improved heatsink and RAM level for the storage node.
Update on Atlanta - This will be sent out this morning as planned.
Everything should have been said at the beginning. I think originally I only put + TOKYO on 250GB. If I'm mistaken please be more specific and I will of course honor it. There's still a good chance 500GB will be deployed for Japan. I don't see a crazy amount of orders here right now.
This won't be posted until Atlanta is sent out, so at least 4-6 hours from now. Just letting you know.
