    Mine was slow for about two days...then I put in a ticket and it magically fixed itself. They said they didn't do a thing.

    I just put in a ticket they told me to download a datashack test file and it's downloading @ around 100K/s!! so a 2GB file will take about 3-4Hrs!!

    Sure hope you didn't wait until it was done before updating your ticket. I let it go for like a minute and sent in my results.

    Yeah I was going to buy one but I picked a C2D instead. I have had a L5420 at WI before and I did like their network overall so I figured I would try on this for the good deal.
  • Going fast over there :O

    Yeah I had that too I think I should have kept that one instead of the C2Q i got, cause it seemed to work better..more memory and IPMI for an extra $10!!

    Actually I just a L5520 with 24 GB of ram from servercomplete for $55/mo.. pretty happy with it so far!

    So in total, how many servers did you end buying?

    I must be the only person who bought only one haha..

    @Jack - Expires June 2nd

    @earl - 3; 2 atom and 1 Pentium 4 - I needed one for production and wanted one for testing. For the price and specs/bandwidth, it's not a bad deal.

    Btw, I am not renewing any of these... I ended up getting the Xeon for 39/month.

    Is the IPMI like ILO?

    Yup.. but the DRAC that comes with the dell cs24-sc is more basic but seems to work better not sure if it's called DRAC or "Embedded Server management" but the iLO I had with datashack had more features like an access log but iLO seems to hang alot! needed constant reboot for it to work!

    They both have virtual media capabilites so you can reload your own OS when you need to.. you just need to load the ISO image of the OS.

    Just curious as to what CPU's people are getting from the grab bag server deals, I ordered the C2Q and got a Q9550..

    If you could post what CPU you got that would be great..
