Well that's one way to play monopoly.
Good for the people at VirtKick though, I assume they got paid well for their hard work.
Really !! ....
I hear the next VirtKick update is scheduled for 2020.
and rebranded as solus 2.0 /s Wonder how they are going to deal with the 6 copyright left holders from the indiegogo campaign https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/virtkick-take-cloud-back#/
Revised from 2019? Got the inside scoop?
Well... didn't see that one!
I feel like that is more realistic
Another project sent to death row by OnApp. Please stay away from Virtualizor, thx.
This is REALLY odd to me.. So what did they do with all of the current work?
Wow.
I think the frontend will stay the same (the SaaS Rails App), but the backend will be removed and replaced with SolusVM.
Virtkick is the leader panel and blablbla (by their words) but will migrate to SolusVM...... Is it me or???
So, we can delay again SolusVM v2 to 2019. OVH will have the time to launch all their DC before this release...
Embrace and Extinguish.
I guess the door's open for someone else to build a new one.
Golang perhaps?
SolusKick v2 coming December 2098, an OnApp Product
The what...?
All evidence points to the truth that deciding to call the next version 2.0 is as far as they've got.
BTW, Solus has a "rich range of orchestration features" the way Earth has six moons.
Starts coding VPS panel in hopes of acquisition dollars.
Fuck this shit, lets make a OpenSource VPS Panel.
hah, wow.

K so now that i've laughed my ass off enough, lets dissect things.
Was SolusVM 2.0's frontend ever rigged together or was it purely a in a UI demo state? They posted screenshots that looked pretty nice, but why start working on 2 platforms now short of "we failed to roll in the new SVM2 UI and VirtKick will be the new frontend"?
If they literally just went Monopoly on it to take out a competitor then fine whatever, but claiming they're going to actually do something with it is just unfair to both customer bases.

GTFO....why on god's green earth would they replace the backend with a pile of shit like SolusVM.
Just wow.
WHYYYYYYYYY
I laughed my arse off when I read this hahaha.
To be fair, virtkicks end user experience is the best out there, the admin interface is by far the worst out there.
So they are going to squash the 2 together, I suppose I was not far wrong when I said solusvm V2 will just be a new skin.
^ How the deal went down.
@virtualizor any plans to sell your business soon?
I'd assume Virtualizor is peanuts compared to the amount of business softaculous brings them.

I think I will make up some screenshots for a big SolusVM alternative, hype it up by spamming it all over the place, then wait for OnApp to throw money at me to go away...
That was hilarious! +1
On the side note: ads are showing... stupid iphone
EDIT: Derp, Adguard was off
SolusVM 2 confirmed. SolusVM 3 will be scheduled for 2020.
I doubt they'll even use v2 backend for VirtKick. My bet is they'll just ship v1 with a new interface (VirtKick's) and call it a revolutionary new product.
Being able to using libvirt / exit virtkick without any hassle was one of the strength of the product... now it's all locked down :c
