Hey guys I have a quick question, on my /dev/sda drive in my Dacentec server it shows:

is that a big deal? I mean smart shows the drive as PASSED still.

Choosing between the X3440 or the Opteron 1381, the difference between speeds is that much?
Not really, but the X3440 should be slightly faster:

Thank you guys for taking a second look at it for me, I put in a ticket and sure enough Dacentec support said it needed to be replace. I don't have anything important on it yet so I'm happy I caught it early and support seems to be awesome so far!
update: Dacentec replaced the drive in less then 30 minutes, Steven was great.
just checked my disk and noticed the first item "Raw_Read_Error_Rate" and last item "Multi_Zone_Error_Rate" seems have issue? anyone know does it normal? thanks

Some interesting changes will be made to the templates, including that Windows 2008 R2 will be supported by the "new" KS-1 servers (With the Atom D2500 and D425 CPU).
Plus, I will also add support for Hetzner servers very soon (seperate templates of course). I do need a lot of (hardware) information about those servers @ Hetzner though, plus someone that is willing to sponsor/borrow me a server for a (few) month(s) or so.
Anyway, a post/thread will be made for that very soon.

Unless you are having issues with the drive, I don't see anything there that indicates a replacement is needed. Try to run this command:
smartctl -t long /dev/sdX
(replace X with the drive letter of the drive)
Wait the 2-4 hours the test takes, then check the SMART data again.
Cheap ones are back for a little while.

@dacentec - can you kindly elaborate the effect that end users will experience? I am concerned that the route to EU (especially hetzner) is at 385KB/s as tested 5 mins ago. Will the new cross connect improve this? Also, what is the timeline for this change going live?
