    I've even worst than that on one of my server even that server is configured with SW RAID-0:

    [root@kvm2 ~]# dd if=/dev/zero of=test_$$ bs=64k count=16k conv=fdatasync && rm -f test_$$
    16384+0 records in
    16384+0 records out
    1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB) copied, 16.7433 s, 64.1 MB/s

    While another server from them having SW RAID-0:

    [root@kvm3 ~]# dd if=/dev/zero of=test_$$ bs=64k count=16k conv=fdatasync && rm -f test_$$
    16384+0 records in
    16384+0 records out
    1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB) copied, 6.29645 s, 171 MB/s

    Sent them a ticket, lets see :)

    EDIT: Just got this:

    We've replaced the drives and upgraded them to 3.0 TB drives, per our management as a one-time courtesy.

    Awesome, even I won't even fill the 2TB drives (which I had before). No one can expect any thing more even they're giving far more than what they should in this pricing range.

    Agreeing to a certain price shouldn't automatically mean that you get good or bad service...

    It's fine as that is the range you should be getting - SW RAID 1 doesn't mean double the speed

    Sady is using RAID-0 , you're using RAID-1 right?

    @Dacentec , out of curiosity. How much would it cost to have one of those RTO servers shipped to the United Kingdom? I know you may not offer shipping of servers so its a bit of suggestion if you dont.
