I wonder how many total servers they sold from this thread alone :-P.
Just a general question, while renting monthly, we're effectively on a monthly contract.
So theoretically prices could be hiked any month ? (like Incero did a while back)
Solution would be paying for 6months to get locked in, I suppose.
I highly doubt they'd jack up the prices for existing customers, but it's definitely possible and likely in their TOS/billing agreement. Lock in if you want to be sure, but if they did a mass shift and increased everyone's pricing they'd get some nasty feedback.
Not to mention losing customers. It seems it's finally become possible to afford cheap and good dedicated servers.
Did someone got a server shipped from them? Is that just a trick or true?
True, Period.
Cheap $20 are back!
@dacentec
I canceled a 2xL5420 16GB 2X2TB Rent Only Dell, but I am not yet received a refund, I am very regret, because the re ordering IP is charged. Can LEB friends get /29 for free?
all $20 servers gone again
@dacentec Any more dates on $20 servers ?
I let go a
Supermicro 5150 8GB 2X2TB SATA Rent Only
today.
upgraded to x3440
So , one more server for one of you guys
$20 is back again!
More servers up. Prices for new orders on some servers will be raising a little after today.
Just ordered. Waiting for server activation.
Which server prices are going up btw?
@dacentec why there is difference disk price betwen servers?for example x3440 2x2tb cost $20 for change disk option to 240gb ssd while other server will cost less or even free
@robohost: It depends on a lot of factors. x3440 is sold out for now.
x3440 is just an example, my main question is why there is price difference for same disk size?
So I suppose I can have a disk inserted later on if I order one correct. Or am I wrong?
@cmsjr123
yes, that is correct... IF the server you select can have an extra drive. In the server info page there is an Upgrade option which will do this for you (well, set the invoice and alert the support team to the need for the upgrade)
Thank you. Ill probably order one
@dacentec I'll really appreciate some deals with SSD under $40 if possible? Like with L5420 2x2TB deal having 1x 240GB SSD instead of 2x2TB SATA?
You could swap out one of the 2tb disks in the $20 server for 240gb ssd for extra $10 (if you only need single SSD, leaving the 2tb in the second slot intact)
Total = 20+10 =$30
How many IPs come with (/29 of IPv4 Addresses) ??
What is the price of IPs if I want to buy more?

@dacentec Any data center closer to the west coast? Looking glass?
@hdpixel: they only have 1 location.
That gets a bit expensive with L5420 server & /28 IP block --
$30 + $10 + $10.50 --
Well, I've got an L5520 at both Dacentec and Delimiter and decided to do an Unixbench test to compare. We should get comparable results, right ? Wrong !
HP ProLiant DL160 G6 @ Dacentec Dual L5520 72GB RAM DDR3-1066 2x240GB SSD, HP performance mode enabled, empty node, $85 /mo with all the bells and whistles.
HP ProLiant BL2x220c G6 @ Delimiter Dual L5520 8GB RAM DDR3-1066 1x500GB HDD, HP performance mode enabled, empty node, $29 /mo
With this results it looks like the L5520 @ Dacentec doesn't have HT enabled, but it is ? I have searched for comparable results on Google and Delimiter score is spot-on with ~6000 pts.
Maybe @Dacentec and @MarkTurner can explain ? Because that's 30% difference ...
