What script or OS is that?

    It's the htop package.

@Gulf: something is probably broken with your setup. Try uninstalling every PHP packages you installed, then try to apt-get update/upgrade...
Then reinstall php: there's no reason for it to not work.

    I've just installed php-cli on a ScaleWay's test server: http://instantcloud.io/

Edit: I've just seen you are adding others repositories... They probably don't have PHP for an ARM CPU: just use the default Ubuntu repos and all should go well.

How do they compare to Wable?

Interesting question, I just made a crude test:

    dd bs=1M count=512 if=/dev/zero of=test conv=fdatasync

    instantcloud.io : 95
    wable: 340

Can the scaleway online storage be mounted on a Online server?

Didn't succeed so far, if anybody else have been able to mount as a filesystem a scaleway online storage please share - s3fs didn't work for me so far..

    Anyway:

    Nice

On instantcloud.io it's said that we can subscribe and get a free month, that sounds perfect to experiment with the server. How to claim this free month? Don't see that in my scaleway account, it it automatic during the billing of a new server?

    Thanks friends

For those who want to use Scaleway Infinite Storage (is like S3), I not recommend using it in production:

    https://community.scaleway.com/t/advice-do-not-use-scaleway-infinite-storage-sis-s3-in-production/938

I'm currently trying to recover 753 GB of data "lost" (I have a videos platform), 16.621 files that I cannot fully download, I can only download the 50% or 60% of the content of the files.

    Scaleway SIS

I agree, not ready for production. Outages, 500 errors...
Finally I migrated everything to OVH and very happy. OpenStack is much stable and better than Scaleway S3. Superb dashboard, api and management tools. But I still backup some files to the Amazon.

Why did you store important non backed up data in an experimental "cloud"? Heck, why do you have important data not backed up in the first place?...

  • arielse said: For those who want to use Scaleway Infinite Storage (is like S3), I not recommend using it in production

Thanks for that, tried to delete my buckets just now, but it doesn't seem to work, they are still there after waiting for half an hour. Good that I don't begun to store things there.

Because in the website they say:

"Your data is replicated 3 times to ensure data redundancy and availability. You can use it to store any kind of data, from backups to content uploaded by your users."

    https://www.scaleway.com/features/

I was creating a full backup in another storage when I detected the difference in total amount (1.8 Terabytes in SIS, and 1.1 Terabytes in my other platform).

As an email i got today:

a Seedbox with 150GB of SSD for €4.99 per month (reduced by 65%)
  • NyrNyr Community Contributor, Veteran

I would get some of those ARM machines if it wasn't for the bad experiences I've had with their support :(

  • allright, I know understand why I kept having these 500 error.

@bene_online does that makes sense to sell services that don't work well? i mean why not keep it beta a bit more? That would keep people away from thinking their service is crappy let's go and stick with ovh/amazon/whoever...

Why do you rhink they are bad? Well if you use only the C1 server its works great without any addon.

So you could run gameservers on it.. and etc. So the C1 works very well , i run a java gameserver on it.

Depends: php5-common (>= 5.6.12+dfsg-1+deb.sury.org~trusty+1~) but 5 .5.9+dfsg-1ubuntu4.11 is to be installed E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

I see. This is not an officially maintained package. Try sticking to the official packages, in particular when you need ARM support here. If the trusty PHP packages are too old for your needs, try ubuntu vivid or debian jessie which both have newer packages.

For a provider, this is a strange way of indicating what you can do with the services...

    Dear Cloud Rider,

Today, we're very excited to introduce a huge pricing change on the Scaleway services.

We believe that cloud computing is an amazing technology, where people should get flexible ressources for an affordable price. That's why today we decided to reduce the C1 price from €9.99 to €2.99.

In brief, the new pricing will result in the following changes:

C1 Server price goes from €9.99 to €2.99 (reduced by 70%)
Additional SSD volume price goes from €2 to €1 per 50GB (reduced by 50%)
Reserved IP goes from €1.99 to €0.99 (reduced by 50%)

Of course, all InstantApps from the ImageHub benefit of the price cut. It means that you can now get all the applications from the Hub starting at €2.99 per month. The ImageHub offers you a large choice of app from developer stack to ready to use applications like:

a Private VPN for €2.99 per month (reduced by 70%)
a Seedbox with 150GB of SSD for €4.99 per month (reduced by 65%)
a WordPress blog for €2.99 per month (reduced by 70%)

The new pricing is effective since the 1st of September, 2015 for all ressources and accounts.

We want to thank you for being a member of the Scaleway community, it's a dream for us to see so many new members from all over the globe!

Read more about the pricing changes on the blog.

Join the community, share ideas and new features you would like to see on Scaleway.

Chat with the team and the community on our IRC channel #scaleway - irc.online.net.

If you like the service, spread the word! You can invite people to join this adventure. :)

    Happy cloud riding,
    Scaleway

Just because they let you store it, doesn't mean you can get it back at all times or in mint condition :D

They even do not let to store it. This error occurs when you upload.
