  • @ArubaCloud you ignored me :(

With that pricing, your plan must be to host all VPS's in the world. Then you will never have to reroute IPs again.. xD

  • Can anyone register or are there restrictions?

  • How do people monitor the bandwidth used on this service? I can't seem to see it on the web interface.

I figured it might be available in the "Extra Control" section, however if I try to get the Debian or Ubuntu "Extra Control Software Packages", I get a "404 - File or directory not found" error.

ArubaCloud is it allowed to run a VPN on the €1 a month instance? I didn't see anything for / against it in the T&C https://www.arubacloud.com/documents/aruba_cloud_cgc.pdf

    VPNs are allowed :-)

Prometeus/seflow, milan is 9.5ms to FRA ovh routers though .

    Level3 has lower latency i guess .

Yep, I've got a VPS at their CZ location and I'm using it as a VPN. Pretty satisfied :)

  • I requested the €10 coupon + emailed them a week ago and never received an answer.

@ArubaCloud Is there any real support team exists in your company, my sales and also support tickets are not answered even after two days. I do understand that sales question may not be answered during week ends but a simple support question of how to reload the OS from your control panel ( yours is not a standard control panel, the options are completely hidden) went unanswered till now.

I am fed up with your company and your support, decided to cancel but dont know how to cancel this services since that option is not also visible? You are using three panels, one for customer data, one for cloud server, one for support, I am sure no one is watching them from your end and its created to confuse users. Live chat, only icon is there always no agent is present, I had verified this for the last two days sitting infront of it.

I had never faced this issue with any cloud provider I had used it seems low price cloud hosting services should not be used to avoid headache.

@sandro It happened to me too, no one is answering anything.

Just as somebody mentioned previously in this thread, switch off the VM, then click initialize to reload OS.

Sorry for the delay, we are investigating possible lacks in tickets notification.
In addition, time zone difference and workload increase have generated problems to our customer service. you can find available technicians from monday to friday, 9am – 7pm CET (European time)

@programer pls read the instruction at the following link:
    http://kb.arubacloud.com/en/computing/managing-a-cloud-server/initialize-a-cloud-server-smart-restore-to-original-conditions.aspx

@sandro we've checked your request and we hope you have received the voucher now

I requested a coupon as well, since the first one went to spam and didn't receive it yet... It's been 2 weeks. Meh.

  • @ArubaCloud Now that you are here: How can I announce hijacked IPs through you?

I would also be interested in getting some stolen IP space routed to my 1€ VPS, that would make it even a better deal!

  • grabbed one, uk dc, everything looks fine so far.

sales support has been very helpful in removing VAT (provided valid VAT ID within europe) - so no issues here. reactions to my tickets were fast (during office hours though)...

bunch of different control panels is a bit... confusing. ;-)

  • Does any know how to set RDNS for the ip we receive

In my experience their support is slow, their billing/support areas are confusing, their documentation is outdated/incomplete and hard to find, and all their websites and systems are a maze.

Took me more than a week and several tickets to get started. There seem to be some serious automation issues going on there that require attention.

  • Just to be clear Aruba in Italy is super famous, I would say they have some kind of monopoly. I bet 90% of Italian sites are hosted with them.

  • They also sponsor a lot of stuff like iirc some motorcycle races and things like that.

Something like Godaddy of Europe, just not on stock exchange and smaller.

    Answering your questions:

@deadbeef: is it possible to install Windows on the small package via ISO?

At the moment it’s possible to use only our templates on SSD Cloud Server Smart range, if you need to install Windows you can take in consideration to deploy a Cloud Server Pro.

@nfn @bersy: how to reinstall OS?

This option is not provided on SSD Cloud Server Smart range, to do that you can consider to deploy a Cloud Server Pro.

@Geekoine: did you find any option for paying 12/24 months in advance?

Not at the moment, sorry. We will take in consideration among next improvements.

@marrco: is it possible to rebuild the VPS in another location without buying another one?

Unfortunately this is not possible. Sorry for that.

@joodle: anyone got any idea if they support rDNS?

rDNS is one of our high-priority projects under development
