959 power-on hours, so can't complain there. Tested linear read performance, and it's about the same (132 MB/sec) as on the 3.5" drive in my RBX server.

If you have a vat number registered to VIES just send them the papers same as everyone else, but they might ask for more papers, so, be sure to send all you have an think it might be needed.
what is the payment method you chose to avoid the long "We check your payment manually " status?

They accepted Paypal without manual verification. Got my server in fourth attempt!
I use Paypal with OVH, the server was delivered in 4 minutes. Maybe another reason it was fast is that I used my already validated and VAT-exempt KS account with one server already on it. I remember the first one took maybe an hour or two after payment. However after you paid, a server should be reserved for you, even during the "manual payment checking" process.
Simple: As a private individual person from Germany, you have to pay the VAT. As a registered business with an EU VAT number, you do not have to pay VAT.

Yes. I got verified and my VAT was removed before. Even after that, if I used a credit card they asked for manual verification and it took more than a week to get a proper response. This time around, I did my payment with PayPal and voila got my server with in minutes. For every one who's having a tough time in manual verification, I would recommend using PayPal.
