c0y get two, drbd them? Granted on 100Mbps would be slowish.

How do you think that will perform when running a quite active (in writes) MySQL server?

  • yeah with the crappy drives they put in there ... unless you have mirror you can only keep them for playing :)

  • rds100rds100 Member

@c0y if your quite active in writes MySQL server is not writing with tens of megabytes / second (which is highly likely, since it couldn't keep up with that writing speed anyway) - it should be OK.
And it it's just for a MySQL server you could just setup two and master/slave replicate them.

  • Well seems to be out of stock again. That was fast.

Sold out in 11 minutes. I wonder how many were for sale.

Has the KS-1 at some point been available in Canada or only in their French locations?

Never in Canada in this round. Thought they did but turned out to be a mistake and they refunded me when I tried to order one.

It looks like they have reversed the KS-4 CPUs, the 3570s is now in BHS and 2400 in France.

Or maybe it's an (other) error ?

Sorry, didn't even see you message before finding the problem for myself.

  • Missed out on the KS-1 stock yesterday due to their stupid account policy....

Only D425's KS-1 instead of N2800 sucks aye?

Google Translate to the rescue, seems to be "We keep installing truckloads of servers, but everything gets sold out in minutes". Also snapshotted the wrong Passmark for N2800 (fixed since then), #suchfail.

    This is much more fun

Just paid for one, hopefully they are not bluffing again, 120s delivery so we'll see.

  • Got one for playing too. I also hope they won't come back and say human error when they entered stock. :)

  • J1021J1021 Member

Woah. Ordered and paid. Now waiting..

  • KS-1 BHS stock!

I would prefer France location, but at least I grabbed one.
Order still states Kimsufi KS-1 N2800 btw....

  • J1021J1021 Member

My invoice for the KS-1 in BHS is listed 'Kimsufi - 2G N2800 1x500GB Server - 1 month'.

Yep. They said they were advertised in BHS by mistake last time.

Also noticed my receipt said N2800 as opposed to D425.

This also here and with @elijahpaul as well :)

    Ok. got mine. Defo BHS.

EDIT: And it is the D425 CPU (not N2800 as on the invoice)

  • J1021J1021 Member

Last time I received setup with 1-2 minutes, so not to confident about this one at the moment. :(

  • It says N2800 for everyone but might just be outdated info in invoice. I guess we will find out at delivery.

Can you confirm which CPU and specs it has?

  • @elijahpaul Can you benchmark it with "wget freevps.us/bench.sh && sh bench.sh"?

Imma do it as well as soon as mine gets delivered:
