    @premiso I got my 2 x 128MB VPS's :)

    Same here. I waited 12 hours this morning for stock to be released, but the DDoS attacks were causing issues. Then when they finally released stock, the website was overloaded and I was unable to process my order. I eventually gave up and decided not to try again and went to sleep. I wake up 2 hours later and decided to just check the website for the hell of it........turns the website is loading fast and they have stock! So I ordered me 2 :)

  • I'm aware of the times and format of the restocks, was just questioning a bit on your wording possibly meaning something else

  • @dancom96 They will follow the release schedule afaik:

    OpenVZ Stock: (Based on availability): 25x 128MB, 20x 256MB, 20x 512MB, 5x 1GB 5x 2GB

    Any wording you question, confirm it against the wiki. The wiki overrules what I say :P

    @tux

    All times are GMT-8

    Of course, whether that really means GMT-8 or PST/PDT (depending on date), idk.

    It's a bit frustrating of being ready at the time of release, and not being able to order. Then when the DoS is finally mitigated there were a few available VPS but the system had so many buying requests that Frantech.ca wouldn't load. I couldn't be here refreshing every minute because that would make your system even slower if everyone did that. So when I refresh it again, 0 available. Now it's time to try again Monday, perhaps to spend more time without results... I think a Pre-Order period at an higher price could be an idea. The ones willing to guarantee a spot back on the exact same day (no long advances) would pay a bit more.

  • I waited to get some too. But with all the DOS that happened and the ordering load didn't get any in the end. I guess time to wait again. :(

    Then the Pre-Orders would be out of stock upon being announced, so we would need a Pre-Order for the Pre-Order. However, why stop there? I for one would like to Pre order the pre order of the pre order of the pre order of the pre order of the pre order for a VPS.

  • Some people wouldn't pre-order because the price was higher and would wait for regular prices. That was the key... this happens within many industries.

    If you're will to pay slightly more why not go to another provider? There are other companies... that have stock and a working ordering system.

    I have VPS with pretty most every good provider (perhaps two dozens), and I have one Storage VPS with BuyVM. I've been wanting to buy a few BuyVM OVZ and KVM as well, that's all :)

    Give us a break, there's no host out there that gets the sales rushes we do. We replaced our webserver in a timely manner and have had no issues. On top of that we'll likely have things behind ponaegis tonight.

  • Not many companies in the industry get the "onslaught" of simultaneous orders like BuyVM.
