@HostVDS_com The terms you agreed to when you signed up for PayPal explicitly disallow this:

You agree that you will not impose a surcharge or any other fee for accepting PayPal as a payment method. You may charge a handling fee in connection with the sale of goods or services as long as the handling fee does not operate as a surcharge and is not higher than the handling fee you charge for non-PayPal transactions.

So they call it a handling fee

Only allowed if they charge the same fee for non-PayPal payment methods (at which point, why not just bundle the fee into the price?)

Given setup is probably mostly automated, there really shouldn't be much "handling" required.

As far as I know, many merchants do this. You can report it to Paypal.

Yes, we charge the same handling fee for stripe other types of payments.
Also we will try to partly drop it off.

Include IPv6 for no extra cost on every plan in every location to get delisted.

I can't see @Advin in this list. Has he got his IPv6 act together?

Sadly, yeah, we need to be added to the list for the time being. We've sent requests to pretty much all of our upstream's for IPv6 subnets/announcements but it's taking some time.

A lot of our locations have it, but some are still a work in progress ๐Ÿฅฒ

Which of your locations have it up and running smoothly at the moment? Do any of your UK locations have it?

    DFW and MOW

  • What about Bangalore,India? Seems like no servers are available in Bangalore. Putting a 'Coming Soon' label or an ETA would be a basic etiquette. Thankfully, I did not make any payment on the page which came just after signing up.
    Any ETA about Bangalore?

Reinstall works? Or I need to create another instance? The password I am sent is not working, tried all things I could think of, including old password, change password, sending clipboard, nothing seems to work. I have reinstalled a few times.

Yes, reinstall works. User for ssh - root.
You may also try ssh key against of password.

You have a test IP / looking glass for the new USA location? - Thx :)
The Hong Kong and India location would be very good and interesting with the exist prices.
There is any ETA for Hong Kong?

Yes, Hong Kong and Bangalore with the mentioned prices is difficult to believe. Will surely get 1 or 2 in India if HOSTVDS sells VPS for the mentioned price in India.

  • Good price however 10GB... too small disk space.

yeah, it does, otherwise my old root pass would have worked, but the password is not the one I am getting in mail. Where is the ssh key?
I have tried Debian 10 as well, will continue to try other distros, maybe I get lucky at some point.

Nope, not working, password always wrong (albeit it is different every time). I will try to create a new instance.

New instance in US, password still wrong. In addition the emergency console says instance not found.

Just creat ubuntu 20.04 instance for test and get correct root password to email.
    Please check twice...
