  • I placed an order for KS-LE-1 today and delivered within an hour, but it says my next payment date is 26 November 2022, though i ordered this product on 25 November 2022, so my next payment date should be 25 December 2022,
    Its confusing 😕

Anyone knows how to unify the old KS account with the OVH cloud? I somehow expected to be migrated automatically and got surprised when I didn't have an account in cloud so created one.
While that gave me the free setup thinggie, it is charging VAT and I don't like that, nor having 2 accounts, even if the VAT would be removed in the future.

You can't, at least not right now. I contacted support a few months ago and said they don't do merges from a KS account into a OVH cloud account.

    @Moopah said:
Was anyone from the U.S. able to order these servers by any chance? OVH Cloud only seems to allow non-US customers forcing me to the US subsidiary of OVH Cloud.

My billing information is USA based, so I can't really purchase any other country. Not sure how that works, but 14.99/mo Euro + VAT = 18.99 USD ~ish. Same price.

The new customers/new accounts who have never had service, can use ECOSETUP to get no setup fee discount, but other than that, 14.99E+VAT is about the same as $18.99 without TAX

So you can order from USA, but still get something in France or Canada. I have 2x KS1 in France, and 1x KS-LE-1 in Canada.

I'm not sure if that is what you were asking, but if so, here it is.

Perhaps I'm doing it incorrectly but even when I created an OVH account in the U.S. subsidiary, when I try to use it to buy one of these offers, it directs me to create a new account where the billing options do not let me choose the United States as the billing address.

I also tried creating an account in the main OVH world website but it also does not let me choose the United States as a country for the account.

Was your account with the U.S. address created before OVH created the U.S. subsidiary by any chance?

  • Got SYS-LE-2 yesterday, just did some YABS. Disk is pretty new HGST He8 with 90 hours of power on hours. With this I will part with my old KS-LE 2x2TB...

The 4k and 64k avesome but 512k and 1m might be better.

Other: It seems that SYS peering much better than KS's. Download speeds usual higher.

Compare the config and the prices. The 14.99 Eur is the currently increased price for KS-LE-1.

Extras for the config (you might got one or more if you're lucky)

    • 1 Gbps download or download and upload VIA IPv4 and/or IPv6 instead the advertised 100 Mbps. Usualy the download Gbps dual stack, a little rarely the IPv6 upload is gigabit and the most rarely is IPv4 gigabit up.
    • 2960 GB SSDs instead the advertised 2800 GB

Read the previous comments, check yabs results and make a good decision.

I received mail that the old KS-LE will "benefit" from a price increase. However, if I want to renew, I am offered the old price. Anyone knows whether it will keep old price, I can only renew now for the old price or the new price will apply and I will be asked for the difference?

You can renew for a year upfront, or maybe even more, there will not be any extra charges until the paid-for period expires. So everyone with the old price-hiked servers should consider renewing for a hefty while at the old price before the 1st December.

  • Trying to get either SYS-LE-1 or SYS-LE-3 but former flat out says sold out... latter says configuration not available. (Wish me luck)

Anyways I still have a SYS profile on the old interface and it hasn't been migrated to ovhcloud yet. I also have a block of 16 ips there. How would I migrate my account to ovhcloud or move my ips there so I can use them with the new server?

It might be restocked, KS-LE-1 ran out of stock too but the new instances regularly available.

You're not the first who has question about account migration but I don't remembered any exact positive reply.

  • Will the KS-LE be restocked ? trying to grab one..

  • It's available now, i just got one. I think that's about my BF offer this year.

  • So I'm finding out that these deals are not available for the US website and they don't let you register new accounts on the CA or Global site with a US address anymore. I have an old account on the CA site apparently (probably from Kimsufi way back) but I can't update the address on it. Anyone know how to get one of these on the US site?

Nah. They don't let new accounts setup a US address (it isn't in the country list) if you are not on the US website (us.ovhcloud.com) and these deals don't appear on that site. I have an old account but probably won't be able to use the code that waives the setup fee and it has the wrong address on it right now which I can't update. It just throws an error when I try.

Same happened to me.. don't know the reason..had a ks le 1 validation state in it. But some how they closed the account.

Forgotten password will not work since they closed the account from their end.
