  • So what's the tl;dr, is Delimiter going to take our money and run? I ordered one of the X5150/16 GB ram and they provisioned it within 30 minutes. So far I'm happy. Hopefully everything works out :-).

where did you get that from?!

MarkTurner Thanks for ALL YOUR HELP, internetz, kudos, cookies, bacon, and cats for you!

I think i just bricked mine too.. did the same thing, re-install the server to Proxmox v3.0, before i even hit reboot in SSH, the SSH session gone. In client portal, the 'update status' does seems like it is reinstalling, but after 20-30mins, server is still not up. Did a reset in iLO, no response too.

I submitted a ticket tho, hopefully they will manually hard-reboot the server for me, and will see if the reinstallation done.

    Use mcmyhost.net/benchmark.sh it includes Datashack.

  • @dobuz - when you go through the server reinstall function and commit the reinstall, it will reboot your server immediately as the instructions say. (This does not apply to Atom servers as they dont have IPMI available).

  • @dobuz - I think you have a BL460 right? You should use the KVM function built into your server to see whats happening on the console. You can reboot your own server at will through the ILO

Yes, i only noticed there is a remote console in ILO. But Paul the tech guy has been very helpful and solved my tickets in less than 2 hours. My other tickets for assignment of 4 additional IPs were all responded within a very reasonable timeframe. I am happy with Delimiter :)

Wow... How on earth did you manage that, I've had 2 tickets open for 5 days with no response whatsoever :/

  • And here is my server benchmark. All looks good on a 1Gbps port. I/O speed is acceptable.
[root@faith ~]# wget freevps.us/downloads/bench.sh -O - -o /dev/null|bash CPU model : Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU 5150 @ 2.66GHz Number of cores : 4 CPU frequency : 1999.998 MHz Total amount of ram : 15947 MB Total amount of swap : 8031 MB System uptime : 2:15, Download speed from CacheFly: 104MB/s Download speed from Coloat, Atlanta GA: 106MB/s Download speed from Softlayer, Dallas, TX: 45.6MB/s Download speed from Linode, Tokyo, JP: 10.9MB/s Download speed from i3d.net, Rotterdam, NL: 16.7MB/s Download speed from Leaseweb, Haarlem, NL: 17.8MB/s Download speed from Softlayer, Singapore: 6.64MB/s Download speed from Softlayer, Seattle, WA: 20.5MB/s Download speed from Softlayer, San Jose, CA: 23.5MB/s Download speed from Softlayer, Washington, DC: 76.0MB/s I/O speed : 61.3 MB/s

I do noticed a thing, was it due to HP blade tech that all of your server I/O speed is less than 100mb/s? Just asking.

Do you mean disk IO? Thats probably because its a single disk system.

Add a second disk and stripe it; and it will fly.

Really? that's weird. Maybe @MarkTurner can assist you to escalate the tickets?

Which department did you send them via? Dedicated support?

  • @DigitalDuke is this the ticket you sent me via PM? I just sent you some background to that one.

  • @MarkTurner said:

Cool, will probably add on a 2nd disk when i'm expanding.. thanks.

  • @DigitalDuke said:

Thats right, Dedicated support. I assume that is for all Dedicated Server Support.

  • @dobuz - Dedicated support should be for everything like that. If something gets 'stuck' then just mail me or PM me and I'll try to unblock it or at least get you a status on what is happening

  • Both of the affected paths are via Cogent - not a good sign! I'll investigate properly in the morning and give you an update.

  • qpsqps Member, Host Rep

It's definitely not a problem on our side. We have lots of capacity to Cogent available, and we're directly connected to their main POP in Atlanta.

  • @MarkTurner some people can reinstall dedi server in client portal.but i cant find this function in my service.and maybe the Paul very busy so he didnt reply my ticket.

  • Have you check your service details and see three buttons underneath ?

  • @vRozenSch00n no,there have nothing.
