During this "Super Busy Period", I suggest that you sit tight until the end of all emergency migration.
If you fail during migration you won't be able to get help soon because their ticket system has already reached a crash state.
me too![o:) o:)](https://lowendtalk.com/resources/emoji/innocent.png)
I believe he said something about that and there wasn't a specific resolution.
@VirMach My vps has been unreachable since 28 june , after being moved to AMSD027 node.
I sent a private message with my IP as requested , but I don't have any feedback and everything remains the same. Today I tried again to install, reconfigure network and restart..does not work. No ping , no ssh access.
Can you look what's going on? I know it's annoying for you, but for me too, because I can't use my service and I don't see anything talking about AMSD027 node on the network updates page
Thanks
Do not migrate to Frankfurt for now.
Or you'll be regreted for that.
Sorry, but this is likely a issue the VirMach team will need to resolve.
Pink is beyond my pay grade.
VirMach's 4th of July gift was a surprise new-to-me IPv4 address! And, unlike in Frankfurt, the old one still routed! It was magical! Sparkly!
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, I fell asleep in my chair, long day.
I saw that VirMach has pulled the extra IPv4 that were mistakenly assigned from the Ryzen migrate button from all my VMs.
I also had a couple of IPv4 change in Atlanta and San Jose without notice. I expect this was to fix networking issues, as the two VMs that were IP switched in San Jose and Atlanta have much better networking now. My two Dallas VMs were down for a bit, but after they came back up the 20-30GB of extra transfer a day, has gone away and Dallas network seem a lot better.
So check in the billing panel and see if you IPv4 has changed. If so you can use the reconfigure networking, if you installed from template, or if you installed from ISO, you will probably need to VNC in and change the IP manually.
Time for coffee.
Any server can fail. Few weeks back the processor in one of my stable dedicated server failed, until then I only had one downtime of around 5 hours in over 4 years (data center issue).
All I did was ran update on the server, reboot and it just never came back online. To add insult to injury, the data I pulled out of my VPS storage server was corrupt.
Just a suggestion, check if your IP has changed in the billing panel.
Actually this just reflects backup and redundancy short comings. No hardware or provider is safe from failure. Do everything in threes, check that everything is working as expected regularly, and keep an extra, extra backup at home just in case.
P.S. VirMach sent a zillions emails about being aware that migrations were about to happen.
thanks man, for ur help![:) :)](https://lowendtalk.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Nononon, don't go Frankfurt for now, Frankfurt is a little bitch now.
Not too thrilled about this. Some of my things are tied to a specific IP address, it's a bit odd to just change it. Is it not possible to migrate and keep the IP?
I hear you, but no you can't keep the same IP address after migration. The old IP addresses are owned by Colo Crossings, the new IP addresses are leased from a new provider.
I think this is not possible
VirMach doesn't own these previously used IP ranges, they rented them from ColoCrossing, and now they changing the datacenters (migrating the services), and renting the new IP ranges from other companies (from the new DataCenters or from others).
Truly I not happy when a VPS / server IP address changing while I use it. But I can accept in this situation.
No worries sir. I feel you. Today had been yardwork and party prep ( GF's father's birthday ). Started at 7am ...
In my case it's not IP addressing issue. That I'd know what to do with. The machine status is Offline and it won't power on. Feels like those people who had ISOs left mounted to their machines except mine was working until 6am this morning and was already on Ryzen. :-/
My Denver migration was very smooth and the node has been up every since, over 12 days now, so I must've been pretty lucky with that one. Should've done lottery numbers instead.
"The node is currently locked"
Must be a Node where @Nekki had a VM with Porn and the drives got confiscated.
You are being migrated to an undisclosed area.
That sounds bad, but I expect Virmach is aware and will get you fixed up soon ™
@VirMach is someone working here ? Because i've opened tickets almost two weeks ago, and still i can't use my VPS.
What a mess!
LA service is locked about 12 hours, can't do anything but wait.
You can try to click on request cancellation button lol
Join Virmach for the prices, keep the accounts for the drama!
For less then the cost of some Movie Popcorn, you too can enjoy the "will it, won't it" migrate properly...
Oh yup!
@VirMach Is it possible to cancel migration and continuing to stay at Intel node?
Yo, to fulfill customers' desire, @VirMach need:
a migrate button
a re-migrate button
a rollback-button
a re-migrate rollback-button
a rollback-button rollback-button
...
I will keep trolling until Tokyo & LAX network improved
No, VirMach is moving out of Colo Crossings so you eventually will be migrated to a new node.
LOL
Virmach will confirm but that was not my understanding, no.

Can I connect to the VPS before it Expiration?
