  • The order is unable to pay

    1. Do you plan on discontinuing the old SolusVM services in future?
    2. Is there a plan to delete customer data in future if not upgraded?
    3. Will upgrading be enforced to the new cloud platform?
    4. Will customers have to pay more in order to continue using their services as they are?

    I also care about this
I happen to have the transaction expired, I am renewing the contract and upgrading, or repurchasing.
How do I transfer the data if I buy a new machine?

Sorry for the rough start, our database went a bit sad when everyone rushed to log in (to two different panels) and place orders.

    Old hardware in new panel?

Yes, but you wont be able to use any of the new features without reinstalling it first. In the reinstallation process we will automatically migrate you from SolusVM to Raven, but you will still be on the same hardware.

    Reinstall, what about the data?

Reinstall implies that the data is erased and must be reinstalled.

    1. Yes, we won't continue to setup servers on SolusVM. If you mean plans based on E5 v2 hardware, then we might do some LET deals with them but the regular plans will all be refreshed.

    2. We never cancel existing servers if that's what you mean. The E5 v2 hardware will remain online. If we need to migrate it to newer hardware to save on power in some racks, we will. But we will never cancel your old plan or change its pricing.

    3. Everyone will be "forced" to manage their server in the new panel, but they will never be forced to reinstall it away from SolusVM. There is no downside in using the new panel for your old server, it will have the same features as the current one but will be nicer and faster to use.

    4. No, see #2

I could life with less storage but RAM is crucial because the last offers were RAM orientated and so are my apps I run on these machines.

There is a 16 GB RAM plan now that costs $115 per year. We can also stack any of the plans together (also mix and match).

We cannot do any magic on the hardware pricing. Our costs for RAM on these plans vs the old is almost 3x and CPU something like 6-7x.

I think even with the changes we are still providing the more resources per $ for KVM/NVMe VMs, and we're doing it in 16 locations with no limitations except lower BW in APAC.

And as mentioned above we are not changing anything for existing servers and you're welcome to stay on our older servers if those plans suits you better, we are not forcing anyone to migrate.

looking glass for ams is broken

  • Opened a ticket considering the storage deals. The deals are super as always. #647267 thanks!

  • I ran into a problem with the panel ordering before. Then I topped up the balance of $295 and sent a ticket to order 10T storage Los Angeles.
    Is this okay?

Maybe that is why it keeps giving me the error "Whoops there appears to be an error" when I hit the Purchase order button. I selected 1 year and it shows "TOTAL TO PAY $17"

    Thanked by 1webcraft
  • @hosthatch do you have looking glass or test ip for JP location?

@Decicus said: There's a bug with the auto-selected billing cycle. Just switch from annual to biannual, then back to annual. Should work

    tried it?

That makes sense yeah. As mentioned above it's only available for 2year. You might have had 1 yr in your cache. (We just cleared the cache on our end).
