    Changelog:

    • microLXC is now flying with PHP 8
    • several small GUI changes, including fixes and improvements
    • added Reverse DNS, per Request from @Not_Oles
This Feature is not Available in some Locations, due to technical limitations including Singapore, Los Angeles and Tokyo.
Plus I am still waiting for some dns server delegations, expect the Feature to be fully available by next week

    • added DNS Proxy, so you can run your own DNS server behind NAT IPv4
EDNS Forwarding is not enabled yet, its planned for the next Patch

Combine these two: reverse DNS delegation?
When the authoritative reverse DNS server (on both IPv4 and IPv6) receives a PTR query for an IP in the container's IPv6 range, it forwards the query to the container.

Then the user needs to setup PTR records for IPv6.
If you know it, its easy, otherwise it can be an entire shitfest.

Plus, you give up redundancy since everything points to a single machine
Its not ideal and most people will likely add PTR entries for like 1-2 IPv6 addresses at best.

Had to post the code a second time since it wouldn't pick up when I posted first there. Sorry!

  • @Neoon, how can I get support?
I think I got blocked from my ssh port after rebooting the server. There was some kind of Kernal update. May be firewall blocked me out.
    My account is in post4vps.

Can LXC container update the kernel?
and is it an ad for post4vps??

An LXC container cannot update its kernel because the kernel is shared with the host system, this user must be mistaking something else for a kernel update (libc update or something).

@Littlemaster said: @Neoon, how can I get support?

You get support by asking calmly and respectfully, posting all of the relevant information and respecting that this is a free service by design and you are not particularly entitled to anything resembling official support.

@Littlemaster said: My account is in post4vps.

Why don't you post the question on post4vps then?

    Thanked by 1valk
  • Huh, I didn't even think my comment went gone like that way. Yum update showed some kind of Kernal updates or I don't know whether something was pending. I think Neoon will know much more about it considering my less knowledge about host administration, anyway I had to reboot the server, and I suspect some firewall blocked my ssh port. So I would like to get his help.
About the forum I mentioned to give him an idea that my account was connected with that account there as it seems the forum service is almost closed.
About respect and calmness I don't know whether I have some issue with the "can" and "could", I thought "how can I get the support" means different than "how could I get the support". It seemed some kind of past tense.
I hope you won't misunderstand this post as well, language barriers 😞

No we don't sell kernel Upgrades, neither can you upgrade the kernel in your container.

I have no idea what you broke or how but what I know is, I am not going to fix it.
The Network in the container is entirely broken, nothing what a Firewall could explain, plus iptables did not have anything configured.

I suggest you do a reinstall, If this problem persists, I am happy to debug it further.

And please, don't send me a email, then post on LET and then Post in a different forum, it does just delay support requests.

  • tks you

You need to provide more information on that, besides a PM will likely be better then.
