    No. Just would like to wait more and invest my time more in communication for customer-oriented providers like @cociu

    Delivery was pretty fast (4 hours) and this is a good point.

    But what's the advantage if then you don't deliver the secondary IP (included in my package "Budget server #6").
    I cannot work with a single IP, I use pfSense.

    Not sure why the customer should open tickets and fight to have something supposed to be included in his the dedicated server package.

    Maybe it was just a mistake during provisioning? I would not call it 'fight' to open a ticket, let the provider know that you are having an issue and at least give them a chance to fix it.

    Had a vps that came with no ip on it with them once. Sent a ticket 5 minutes after it was provisioned. Got a reply and a fix 2 minutes after sending the ticket.

    You cant spare a few minutes to open a ticket, but you can type a full LET post about it?

    That it was I did, opening a ticket.
    They replied right after saying that the additional IP will be provided "in minutes".
    24 hours later I am still without it....

    Well, maybe you haven't been around here on LET for long enough, but that's part of the inofficial Cociu LET FAQ: Do not take time specifications or promises to literal. If this is your first deal from him you might need some time to get used to it. Of course if you are searching for mission critical services with five-nine SLAs, there are better providers. But most of us still love Cociu. :)

    i will explain a little and i hope you will understand ,

    to not create another offer (package) in our whmcs wich have already +500 offers/packages created i used to offer something wich is already created to avoid add more links. Now this is a special offer wich is created in some special racks with some old g6 servers and all is linked to noc-pc wich is what we use for autoprovisioning. Due of this aditional ipv4 is created manually. To make this possible is need the follow steps :

    1) remove the free ip from a list
    2) asign the ip in a proper port in our cisco
    3) asign the ip in the proper port in the swich what is located in the rack
    4) asign the ip to your client area and to your server.

    Due of this steps some of my tech guys dont have acces to all this (is limited by nivel) so is tard more in respond you. More this days we have focused to provide ilo acces for the people who was need windows or had conection problems.

    Any way , you have my word once your service will be fully usable (with the aditional ips) i will change the next due date to compensate this lost days.

  • For anyone who has trouble installing Debian on iLO, you need firmware-bnx2 package. You can either install from DVD then add the package to an ISO and mount it and install, or you can add it to the install image.

    Overall this server is very good, I'm using it as a secure remote desktop with x2go. I saw some old adverts that say you ignore DMCA, is this still the case?

    Make sure you set duplex to full with ethtool!

    if you really know what is a dmca complain and dont confuse it with spam , scam , child porn , port scan etc ... yes i ignore dmca complain and copyright too except romanian productions

    After my first parcel with DHL from Germany to Romania was just fine a few months ago, my second parcel now seems to be lost. It usually just takes a few days from Germany to Romania but now there is no progress according to tracking for over a week, just literally on the last mile, i.e. delivery within the city. Well, at least it was tracked and insured so I will get my money back. But of course it costs a lot of time. Sorry again, @cociu.

    So if everyone else is thinking about sending a parcel to Romania, the ones that hand over the parcel to national Romanian postal service on the last mile seem to be hit or miss.

    Thank you @cociu for the reply and detailed explanation. I definitely see a strong business sense and ethic of work in your words.

    Mine was not a complain based on money (days of service lost). I was deluded in my enthusiasm, by the fact that the super fast delivery promoted and respected, was compromised by the lack of secondary IP, with no possibility to work on the server in a short range of time.

    As some people here, I do not use servers to deploy applications for my personal usage only.
    I have some customers pressing me, so right now I had to order another server with instant delivery.
    I will evaluate the situation in the next 24-36 hours and I do not exclude to keep your server too.
    Eventually I will open a ticket to request the refund within the 5 days I am allowed to.

    It's just a matter of customers pressing me, I am sure you understand.

    You are running on a GigabitEthernet port. The manual half duplex issue is only relevant for those servers connected to some (very) old FastEthernet switch ports without auto negotiation. If you are achieving more than 500 Mbit/s, everything is more than fine. ;)

  • My server is still not installed correctly. I didn't get an answer in the ticket system yet.
    After cociu promised to process all tickets regarding this offer within 24h nothing happened.

    In a private message cociu told me that they had found the problem and needed a few hours longer (that was on January 14th).
    Since then there have been no further replies and the problem persists.
    Not my best experience...
