  • Cold storage is deleted after 60 days, even with premium?

There is no "Cold storage up to 100TB" as the website states for premium payment?

no way they could afford 100TB storage for $10/year. Unless they have partnership with NSA, MSS, FAPSI

May I ask what linux program do you guys use to encrypt your backup before pushing it to 1fichier? I am thinking of using 1fichier as a backup of backups of backups, but since 1fichier is a filehost, encryption is a must, I guess.

    Exemplary.

  • So would I use this as an S3 alternative for cPanel Backups?

    Well

    Here is an idea

Buy the plan and use upto 100tb cold storage and store links in a database and set up cron jobs to extract download links and partially download the file 10-15mb so the counter of 60days resets and profit

  • I got the premium deal and there are some things I don't like:

    • You can't download from FTP, FTP is for upload only.
    • There is no easy way to download files stored on 1Fichier to your server. (People of rClone are trying to implement)

It would be great people started using the API. Sadly I have to little knowledge about that to do it myself.

FTP is something you would've known before purchasing when reading the 1Fichier main thread on LET. Basically both you could've easily known before by reading a bit through the 1Fichier discussions on LET. Yet you purchased it. API is offering nice options though :)

Understand, but it wasn't that clear to me, sadly. But it's no big problem. I hope the developers of rClone are going to do something with this API and make 1fichier the service it can be.

    Hi.

Why you seem to be everywhere.

    @default 60 days for non-premium.

  • One thing made me annoyed is their FTP server does not support non-anscii characters but feel lucky that the uploaded files kept utf8 characters.

That means utf8 characters are broken when using FTP to upload but reserved when upload processing is done.

  • Since yesterday 1fichier is sending emails about enforcing 2 TB cold storage. Giving user's 14 days to remedy. Bye 1F.
