DO-32 UK is part of "infrastructure" range in UK, will be done this week.

Fair enough, but selling this already as 1Gbps is kinda wrong isnt it.. before the actual upgrade. Let's be honest your estimates are just estimates, I might be waiting for 3 weeks..ohh well.

In this case, it will be quite accurate estimate, this week should be good.

  • I got Do-32 UK and got burst: status: "inactive". I having 1Gbps up and down.
I opened a ticket and I was informed that:
"To clarify everything related to the bandwidth upgrade, the important thing to know is that the outgoing bandwidth of your server went from 500 Mbps to 1 Gbps.
The incoming bandwidth is still 500 Mbps, however, i is less influencial on your services."

@ninzo59 Can you just clarify for me please, are you upgrading incoming? Whats wrong in here basically website says 1Gbps etc, but panel is 500mbps incoming which is a let down realy, why would you sell 500mbps incoming if 1Gbps is standard for all servers? Or are these special 500mbps only? Do-32

I dont have clue. My panel still shows

    Network connection
    1 Gbps

    Bandwidth OVH/OVH
    500 Mbps

    Outgoing bandwidth
    1 Gbps

    Incoming bandwidth
    500 Mbps

I can't clarify all the stuff.here. Do-32 will be 1Gbps for sure, for my understanding its up and down. Can't state on the UP/DOWN for now though..

Ok so you are 500mbps incoming just like me, even when the website didnt say anything about 500 just 1gbps. Thanks.

  • Are the SP-64's in GRA 1 going to get this too? Currently on 250Mbps..

I doubt. It's too cheap to get a good connection.

Cheap? There's no way that's it counts as cheap anymore.. Price rises have taken a toll and other offerings are cheaper and better out there now,

    It's 55 EUR a month now.

Yes, that's a heavy work to apply this on all the servers. Yet, yes UK servers (except STOR) has been doubled.

My panel has said this all week since I got the server, however it does not reflect the actual speeds am seeing. I am full 1gbps both ways, even to OVH.

  • guys, does OVH still require scanning identity card or such from a new customer? I am a Tor user and paranoid about my privacy.
PS: They still does not accept bitcoin?

If you're using Tor I'm sure they will ask for an ID.

    https://www.ovh.ie/dedicated_servers/bandwidth-upgrade.xml

Good news — we are discontinuing our Premium and Platinum options, and all customers will be switched to the Ultimate option for the same price!
Get reductions of up to 09/01/2019 for your total subscription period
Pricing applicable with a limit of 20 Gbps per customer, and per datacentre.

Current standard = old premium. Old premium had same peering as standard, you could use the pipe 24/7, but the pipe was not dedicated and 1gbit/s was not guaranteed.

As far as I remember, ultimate = dedicated pipe and better peering and they add some transit providers to the mix. They used to have a page where they described it.
