I'd suggest next time you see such an injustice that haunts your every waking moment, you might consider raising an LET helpdesk ticket to ensure the fastest possible response.
I wanted to try that, but I am a cheap bastard that doesn't want to pay helpdesk.com for their service.
I just called my card company, my refund (including transaction fees etc) posted on May 7. Thanks @ContraWeb!

@doghouch, @Nekki, I don't know guys. I feel that this "keyboard" metaphor stuff is way over my head. And yes, I built my own split keyboard with hand picked switches, caps, custom CNC machined case, and all that jazz. Still, none the wiser.
The only way to stop cognitive dissonance for me is to begin shaking annoying people's hands and telling them they are "as good as the keyboard" with a big smile on my face. My smile would make them assume it's a compliment, but little do they know...

And a discussion about a provider has now become a complex psychological discussion about keyboards and how can such objects be compared with humans, in order to discretely offend people, without taking a blame for it.

Please reconsider that. Anyone who's been around IT long enough knows how stressful the job can be and we don't make the best decisions under those conditions. You knew you wouldn't get a loving reception to show up here again but you did it and for the right reasons. That takes some spine and a clear view of what's right.
For all the complaints nobody here has lost a fortune on this offer, except maybe yourself. We've just been running off because it looked like another provider taking advantage.
If you were to give it some time and make another offer you'll get some howls of protest, but you'll get some people that will take you up on it too. Build on that, show that you've got what it takes, rinse and repeat.
I hope you hang around and make another offer. But either way, thanks for coming back and doing the right thing.
