Its soo nice. I grow them myself.

Oh nice. I tried once, but they all died over a cold winter (they were outside) and I never bothered again.

They can become huge! I mean, like humongous!

Yeah, but the British winter wasn't kind to me and they all shriveled up and died.

What weather is suitable for them?

I think it was -2 for about 4 weeks that winter, so not that.

Oh yah. And I believe you guys get a bit of winter rain as well, right?

I was almost about to take the conversation too far by saying I'll whisper them into your ear, but then decided it'd be inappropriate to say that in a public setting like this.

    Not by my standards!

    Then considered it whispered!

    The rat's whisper.

Well, are you guys actually friends irl?

    Define friends.

Know each other, gonon dinners with families, double dates, invite each other to your kids' birthdays and other rimporrant events?

In that case no, I've never had the pleasure.

Oh that's sad. I know online interaction isn't a great indicator, but, I just felt that you guys would make great friends in real life.

Yeah, that's probably true, but we've never met IRL.

There's an old internet meme from the early 90s - on the internet nobody knows you're a dog. Speaking for myself, what you see here is how I unwind after a stressful day of work. I have a very different personality in real life, so I wouldn't read too much into what I write.

Yah, that's true for everyone though. Everyone has dual or more personalities depending on the situation. It's when it gets out of hand that it becomes pathaologixal

Got any recommendations for aussie ones?

Aw struth, did ya hear that ripper about the limey and his cheese?

Oh ok. I have never understood their accent completely, but it's still legible to me compared to some of those Scottish ones

Yeah, some of them are hard at first. When Billy Connolly was first on English TV in the 80s, they added subtitles as none of the English could understand him. Persevere though and you'll find it incredibly funny. Lots of different word play that just wouldn't work in England's English.

e.g. start from the beginning, but one of his funniest punchlines ever is from 1:40 onwards. It really doesn't make sense unless you understand the Glasgow accent and the posh Scottish accent (typically Edinburgh).

Bookmarked this for later. I shouldn't have woken up so early and straight away went to posting like crazy. Now, my brain feels a bit slower than usual.

in a few hours that is.. i take my regimen seriously. esp that skipped so much recently with all the injuries..

Oh sure. Please prioritise your regiment. BTW is the leg injury healing good now and what bout the neck pain. Pillow actually doing any good?

if i'm working out again means it's not strong enough to interfere. neck is ok, not the best but OK, and toes are fine enough. both still can have pain if i apply pressure or turn neck too far, but it's not stopping me.. every time i skip a workout, it's a disaster in my book.. =)

Do you like the soft pillows or the firm ones?

i bought me a special pillow for neck pains.. it's 1 piece memory foam. it's pretty firm

Uh interesting, didn't know pillows came in memory foam. Never got the think with firm pillows though. The one I use squashes down to a couple of mm thick, I sometimes wonder if it's worth bothering with at all.

Yes.... As long as it heavy. I like feeling some weight on top.

It just so happens that I'm quite chunky...

Chunky like Viking level chunky or man boobs level

I'll say whichever @Saragoldfarb thinks is best!

Yes they’re old lovers but later it turned out @ralf was gay and @Saragoldfarb said she thought he had a somewhat average penis anyway and then it all spiraled into whatever this is. Life I guess

Yeah very busy, sadly not the deals we saw last year but I ran what I called cockpetitions, where a bunch of people competed in redrawing cocks that I drew and were ranked by machine learning as to how good they did😆

Lol! Wasn't expecting that sad love story. Now, I am in tears can't see the screen clearly

Lol! I prolly missed all of that. This year couldn't visit the megathread as much as I would have loved to. But, once this thread is over, will definitely go through it to see what I missed

It’s definitely worth a read, lots of picutures of drawn cocks all over the thread😆

You do have a way with picking words... ;)

    Which ones exactly?

    Don't pretend you don't know...

I seriously don't know. I have been made aware earlier by bchot that i was using a phrase wrong and I didn't realise it. So, I appreciate any help

    "Lol! Would definitely come over..."

    Believe me you ain't alone

Hells yeah! In a universal sense, none of us are alone. We feel lonely, but, we ain't alone

Sometimes I wish I was just for a moment.

    Most parents do

Being alone sounds nice, but sometimes I want a warm body in the house... even if not interacting with them...

That sounds creepy in a way...

Was not meant to be... I mean like I invite my sister to hang out, but dont spend the whole day with her and we each do our own things rather than stay isolated in our own houses

    So like a voyeurism kink?

    Who doesn't?

I don't even wanna know what happened there.

Do yall not know what the term a warm body means?

The idiom “warm body” is a commonly used phrase in English that refers to an individual who is present but not necessarily contributing anything meaningful. The origins of this phrase are unclear, but it has been in use for several decades. Least round here....

Lol! Thanks for that. We are all warm bodies on the thread here. Did I use that properly in a sentence?

i have never installed ubuntu 24 from ISO on a VPS. for that matter, never installed any linux OS from ISO. so I tried to do that where only Debian 13 is available. Added AMD64 (Epyc 7002 CPU) Ubuntu 24.04.3 ISO from ubuntu.com and tried to install it from the dashboard menu. Server has been "performing a task" for 1.5hrs now. I understand i did a poo.. I asked admin to reset back to Debian 13 and advice on how to go about installing Ubuntu 24. I hope the will do the former, but i doubt they will be helpful with the latter (install instructions). currently i am unable to do anything with the VPS, no VNC, no Rescue, nothing is available while "server is performing a task"..

does anyone have a good idea on how to go about installing Ubuntu 24 there? admin's original suggestion was "You are free to mount an ubuntu iso and just install it yourself as a quick workaround." Does that mean anything to anyone? is there a tutorial maybe someone knows? from these words i understand i need to be in rescue mode and mount ISO there? or something?

i think i should have kept trying to compile dante server on Debian 13. on Debian 12 I've installed it from the standard repos.. but appear on Debian 13 they simply don't have it yet..

what is easier? install Ubuntu 24 and then do a simple "apt install dante-server" or should it be easier to compile dante-server on Debian 13? i think my initial attempts at compiling, i didn't have the needed libraries installed, all i did was install gcc and make, but i think there is more to that..

thanks for advice. i am a newbie at this. hopefully now that it's quiet, a pro can read this? =)

Does that mean anything to anyone? is there a tutorial maybe someone knows? from these words i understand i need to be in rescue mode and mount ISO there? or something?

i think i should have kept trying to compile dante server on Debian 13. on Debian 12 I've installed it from the standard repos.. but appear on Debian 13 they simply don't have it yet..

what is easier? install Ubuntu 24 and then do a simple "apt install dante-server" or should it be easier to compile dante-server on Debian 13? i think my initial attempts at compiling, i didn't have the needed libraries installed, all i did was install gcc and make, but i think there is more to that..

thanks for advice. i am a newbie at this. hopefully now that it's quiet, a pro can read this? =)

No idea bout which route to take for Dante server, but, can you access the VPS while a task is already running on it, I am guessing and installation task of Debian 13?
If you can access the VPS, then, it would be just better to install Ubuntu and install the app using apt. Same I believe could also be done on apt.
If you want to strictly compile it from source, I believe both Ubuntu and Debian are perfectly capable of doing it.

Not sure if it answers your question. If not, pardon me.
